A Little Thoughts On Growing Up

"I'm always a princess."

"I'll always be young at heart."

"I am always my mommy's and daddy's little girl."

How I wish it's still valid for me to say those words. I know it still is valid in certain way, am I right or am I right? I knew a lot of people who has the same thought as me, wishing we're still 'little' and adorable. Well, we are still adorable. To be honest, I don't know where I'm going with this post, I just feel the need to put my thoughts into words.

I'm turning 22 this year and I know I'm only in my 20's but I have begun to experience growing pains. It's difficult for me to accept this "adulting" phase though. It's exhausting. I know whining wouldn't make it any better but I have learned the good far exceeds the bad. Let me ask you a few questions..

Have you ever feel like cooking, baking and cleaning give you a satisfying feeling?

It's weird that cooking and cleaning used to be a chore that I hated so much and I would do anything to get rid of it but now that I'm growing up, I enjoy cooking, baking, trying new recipes, watching cooking shows etc etc. I feel the need to cook every day for my sister and I'm fine with it. "What do want to eat for today?" is definitely my new most used words. Not to mention that I feel so accomplished when the house is so clean, especially the kitchen. Is it just me?

Have you ever feel like spending time with your family is something that you look forward to?

I enjoy my family's company more now and look forward to hanging out with them more often because I feel relieved, comforted and happier around them. I mean, who wouldn't rather to spend time with their friends, no? I still do. I have the greatest friends on earth but no one knows me better than my family. That's all I'm gonna say.

Have you ever feel like you're anxious by doing nothing?

If you're feeling uneasy, uncomfortable about doing nothing, oh boy, you can most definitely call yourself a mature person. Back in the day, I consider myself an expert at wasting time. I could waste an entire day by doing absolutely nothing. Things are quite different, recently. I always attempt to fill my days with doing at least something productive, such as updating my resume. It starts to annoy me when I spend the whole day doing nothing. Trust me, I really do. You feel me?

Have you ever feel like weekends are the way to catch up on things?

Well, weekends used to be for hanging out with my friends and sometimes for dates, and it still is though, but occasionally. Now, that's not the case. The weekend is definitely time to do the laundry, clean, catch up on all the tasks that need to be done before the week starts over. I do blog at times and pamper myself with some boujee sheet masks.

Have you ever feel like you're getting the saying "You'll understand when you're older"?

Remember that line? The line that mothers used to use? You've heard it, didn't you? I'm finally getting the clearer picture of it and my mom was right about everything. I do understand now, it's not easy raising 4 daughters, alone, and maintain the same career for almost 30 years.

Have you ever feel like you rely on yourself more than you ever did?

It's kind of strange that I find myself solving almost all of my problems all by myself and taking the responsibility for my own flaws with of course, a lot of tears and sleepless nights. My parents are just my source of courage now, I don't really involve them in my troubles anymore. I don't have to load them with my problems because they prolly already have so much problems, am I right or am I right?

Well, the questions can go on and on, but you get what I'm trying to say. I did mention I have learned the good far exceeds the bad, and yup it's okay to grow up. Nothing strange about it. Love it or hate it, growing up is a part of life. I need to take my own advice, before anything else. Btw, I'm rooting for each and every one of you. Let's keep pushing ourselves to be better <3

Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water

Hello you guys! I know, I know. It's been ages. Regardless, I'm back with a beauty-ish review. Side note, I'm currently in my lovely homeland (read: Sabah. Yup, finally.) and I'm pleased to say I have so much time in here and I think Imma dedicate a huge percentage of it to blogging. I miss blogging so much! I miss my blogging peeps too, I hope you're all in the pink of health.

Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

Anyway, back to the review. I'm going to say it right now, it's really a miracle! Why? I'll tell you in a bit. But, what lead me buying this product all of the sudden? It was my sister. She introduced me this spray and I immediately like it and went to the drugstore to buy it for myself. I'm in my third bottle right now. Yes, it has become a staple in my bag so I think it's good enough for me to give you guys a review and my experience using the Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water spray.

Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water spray retails for about RM32 for 100ml (maybe a bit cheaper or pricier depending on which drugstore you get them) and it also comes in a mini travel size that retails about RM6.90 for 30ml.

I usually do a little spritz after I apply my moisturizer and after I'm done with my makeup which acts like a setting spray. Actually, there's no right or wrong way, just do it whenever you feel like you need a little hydration.

I felt how my skin instantly became more hydrated every time I use it, the spray left my face feeling much cooler and cleaner. It has the best mist and refined spray! The spray is continuous like an aerosol spray and I'm very much loving it. I also love the fact that this spray has the lowest salt content in it which we all aware that salt has been used tremendously to preserve things. That being said, it will eventually dry your skin out after every application. Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water spray has the lowest salt content in it which resembles maximum hydration! Ugh, major love.
P R O S:

Instant cooling effect
Prolong makeup wear
Controls oil
Also comes in a travel size for your convenience
Doesn't break me out
'Cleans' the face
Works great on sensitive skin
Easily accessible and affordable
Left the skin dewy and healthy looking

I can't think of anything bad about this product except sometimes the spray may be broken which lead to poor mist and I hate that. But that's about that. Overall, I really like it. It's really gentle on the face and it won't cause you breakout because it's hypoallergenic. If you're looking for a refined spray, affordable and won't cause pimples, definitely give this one a try.

Have you tried this spray? Do you like it?

Bullet Pointing My Day

  • Woke up with still a sore on my right arm. Totally got it from holding and lifting my twenty-one-kilos luggage the other day. It has been few days now.

  • Let's see what's up on Instagram.. Wow, that selfie though..

  • Okay it has been an hour, it's time to REALLY wake up.

  • What to eat? Hmm.. not that hungry. Pretty much just eat later once my mom is at home.

  • Oh, I forgot to reply my long-distance-boyfriend's morning text, it's already 1pm!

  • I miss you...

  • So bored, I don't know what to do. I'm so enjoying my free time doing nothing but breathing

  • As much as I hate packing stuff, I very much hate to unpack them so I'm just gonna leave them (again) in the suitcase for few more days. I. Am. Just. Lazy.

  • Shower timeee!

  • Is there anything I can do in this house? Besides unpack my stuff? My sister really did all the chores and I'm left with nothing. So... I'm just gonna... scroll my IG feed until my mom comes home. Yup.

  • Mommy's home so.. dinner time?

  • Now I have to fry those chicken wings?

  • My fried chicken wings are perfect! Gordon Ramsay would be so proud.

  • Oh I'm just gonna upload this picture of me that my friend took on IG. So nice. I memang 'bajet' liddat.

  • It's a great time to catch up on my old time favorite movies! Movie marathon? Heck yes.

  • OMG it's almost 12 o'clock?! Where's my phone?

  • Aww bae is waiting for our usual video call routine. Sorry, I got carried away with my movies hehehe.

  • I miss you too much, it's crazy. It has only been several days, how am I gonna survive this distance?

  • Aww I want to pinch your cheeks so bad.

  • Thought I'm not going to go through this again but I'm so wrong. LDR sucks.

  • Mommy's asleep, he's asleep, I'm so bored I need someone to talk to.

  • Let's binge watch Tati and Chloe Morello on YouTube. Ugh their skin is so nice, where can I get nice skin like that?

  • It's almost 5 in the morning. RIP my sleeping schedule.

  • That's enough for today and let's call it a 'night'.

I hope you enjoyed and make a version of yours! Have a good one.

Makeup Must Haves

Hello there! I personally think everyone has their own 'must haves' when it comes to every day routine. Some people can't live without wearing glasses every single day and can't function without their green tea. Well, in today's case, I will be sharing my must haves in terms of every day beauty routine. I personally use almost the same products every single day. I don't like to think too much about it, I just grab what I liked the most and I like to keep it simple.

A face base is a must for me. I personally think it makes a lot of changes and more importantly, enhance the complexion. A good face base allows me to go out more confidently and that's all I really need. I have been loving the Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation! I really am enjoying the finish, the coverage and I think I have found another gem at the drugstore. I noticed with this particular foundation, less is more. Seriously, less is more with this foundation. My face has never been so flawless and healthy-looking. It's always a good thing!

Lip tint/ lipstick

I can't live without these 3 sisters. I have to put on at least a hint of color on my lips or people will think I'm dying. As for lip tint, I have like 5 of these floating around everywhere; in my handbag, in my closet, literally everywhere. My favorite lip tint has to be the IN2IT Gel Tint in Strawberry! You guys know it. For lipstick, I have been loving the Maybelline Powder Mattes in the shade Touch of Nude, which I got on sale and it was like $4. #Happy

Need I even say it? Of course mascara is a must - at least for me. It makes me look polished and awake. It adds drama to the eyes, to the whole face. My go-to has to be the Maybelline Magnum Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara in Black, which holds the curl all day, smudge-proof and budge-proof. I say this all the time but I prefer mascaras that have the ability to hold my curl rather than to lengthen or add volume because those formulas tend to bring down my lashes and that's not cute.

Face powders

Okay, I'm always up for a glow, but not for a shine. Though I'm loving some dewy-looking type of skin lately, I HAVE to set my face with translucent powder. My favorite is, none other than the Catrice Nude Illusion Loose Powder. I like this powder to set my overall base but for baking and stuff, this powder is not the one. And if I need any touch ups to sweep away the afternoon grease, I know my Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Powder won't disappoint me.

Now that I almost get my makeup to look put together, I need something that can bring back life to my cheeks. I personally love pinky and mauvey shade when it comes to blushers because corally type of colors never translate well and don't match well with my skin color. I don't know, maybe it's just me. Need some like high-end blushers but you're too broke for that? Look no further than IN2IT blushers! They have so many different options from mattes to shimmers. They're phenomenal and I personally think they're underrated.

Eyebrow pencil

Sometimes I feel like I need them, but other times I don't. I have my time where I stepped outside the house without doing my brows and I feel completely okay with it. But I think, (this is just a personal opinion) a look is never complete without a good-looking-on-fleek brows because eyebrows frames the face. To me it looks a bit weird when you have everything on but not for your brows. Just a light wash of color will do and you're done, you don't have to have 'Instagram brows' all day every day okay. Simple and presentable, that's all.

What are some of your makeup must haves?
