Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer | Is It Worth The Hype?

Hello everyone! I finally gotta do a review for this over-hyped-by-lots-of-bloggers-and-youtubers bronzer. You see, I'm not much of a bronzer kinda girl but my favorite YouTubers, Tati and KathleenLights approved it so Imma buy it.

I spotted this Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer on my trip to Watsons at IOI City Mall. I was so excited to try because I haven't been in the bronzer state for such a while, so I think it's about time (and of course, it's because Tati and Kathleen love it to the core).

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer retails for RM 65 for 11 grams of product, maybe a little cheaper or pricier depending on which drugstore you get them at.

I got this in the shade Bronzer (they have another lighter shade called Light Bronze if I'm not mistaken). This bronzer is infused with Murumuru Butter to deliver a radiant goddess glow, smooth skin texture and brighten skin tone.

What it claims:

- Infused with Murumuru Butter, Cupuacu Butter and Tucuma Butter
- Ultra rich bronzer formula instantly melts into skin
- Instant and lasting hydration
- Incredibly creamy and soft texture
- Packed with fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, moisturize skin and leaving it silky soft
- Hypoallergenic
- Paraben-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free, oil-free
- Non-comedogenic and dermatologists approved

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer comes in an adorable, gorgeous see-through tropical vibe compact with some palm leaves detailing. It has a button to press on the outside that clicks the compact open. The moment you open it you will see the bronzer (aside from the scent) and after lifting up the bronzer part, you will find an odd sponge applicator (that I honestly don't even use) and a mirror. Overall, it's a nice packaging to display but quite bulky.

Oh my goodness! The scent is too powerful even if the lid is tightly closed, you will still smell it. It is too overpowering to me. No, I'm not saying the scent is awful. It's amazing, if I'm being honest. It smells like coconut mixed in with chocolate and it reminds me a lot of beaches and tropical island. Amazing, right?

But the fact that it's so strong and you can still smell it even after a few minutes of application, I cannot fathom it. It's loaded! If you're sensitive to strong fragrances in a cosmetic, you might want to steer clear of this one (I should take my own advice).

Texture & Formula

The texture is so divine! I love how soft and creamy it is to the touch, which I think this bronzer stays true to it claims. It is a cream-to-powder formula that blends nicely into my skin. A little heads up for y'all out there that doesn't like a bronzer with a little bit of sheen and micro glitters, again, you might want to steer clear of this bronzer. I personally think it's super gorgeous and adds up a really nice glow-from-within.

Color & Pigmentation

The color is nice, it leads more towards the natural side rather than warmer or grey-ish tone on my skin. It's not extremely pigmented, which I find great for bronzers (as well as blushers and contours) because it allows you to control and build the color up to your desire.

However, I have to say that if you have a darker skin tone than I do, I'm afraid it will not show up on your skin at all. Even with my skin tone, I have to dip in to the bronzer for more than 3 times and keep layering and layering. I know.

My final thoughts

I absolutely think this bronzer is a beaut. It applies well, blends beautifully and stays on the face the whole day. From the times I have used this so far it has an amazing staying power and doesn't get muddy throughout the day. It appears beautifully on the skin with I believe a semi-matte finish. It's flattering. It never fails to bring back life to my skin. Lots of good makeup days with this one!

It breaks me out like cuh-razy! It is almost impossible for a powder product to have this kind of reaction on me but this one sadly, does. I really think it's because of the strong scent. It's loaded and apparently, my skin hates it. I don't know if I will be using it in the future or not but as of now I've stopped completely.

With that aside, if you're in the hunt for a new bronzer to add to your collection, I'd say give this one a try. Try it for yourself, it's a great experience  for me (except for the part I'm breaking out). I hope you enjoy today's review! See you in my next post.

Have you tried this bronzer before?

Life Lately + Blog Update

Hello beautiful people! I am feeling the need to do a quick re-cap of a few things going on around here. A lot has been going on, but did it really happen if I don't document it here?

I am 'unofficially' graduated! Yes, I am done with my studies, I am done with my internship and planning to get a job very soon. I can't let myself be as free as the birds flying because I want to be able to buy what I want with my own money.

I am currently living at my aunt's house and I technically have a 'full-time job' (read: I have to babysit 4 lovely kiddos) before I can go back to my motherland. Yes, of course I am being paid.

I honestly haven't been the best in saving money for the past few weeks. I am in the state where I just want to shop and that's it. It's clearly not healthy if we're considering about the rate of everything nowadays. I almost spent a freakin' two hundred ringgit holiday collection from MAC that I probably not gonna use. I need to get a proper job ASAP.

Apart from that, I am assuming it would be fun if we can talk about the things I actually bought (that's not as expensive as the MAC's holiday collection) in another blog post, right?

I am trying quite a lot of new skincare products! And I think I have found some gems. I almost gave up trying to fix my skin but my momma didn't raise no quitter. Let's hope the weather is nice for me to take some photos and I am not lazy.

On the blog recently:

  • I have a domain. Yes I do, gworl! I did it and I think it was the best decision I've ever made before new year. Need to cross that off from my blogging goals!
  • I made a little FAQs section up there so you can check it out and hopefully I am not getting those questions again.
  • Updated my 'About' section too!
  • I am trying out a different body font. Do ju like it?
  • ...nothing else, apart from I am doing pretty good in keeping up with my blog *throws confetti*

PS: I've been itching to get a new template. What's with me?

Hey, I hope you're having the best life x

What You Need To Know About Hansaegee Nature | How To Shop at

Hello beautiful people! Today I'll be talking about one of my recent beauty discovery: Hansaegee Nature. Before you hit that 'X' button, let me tell you what is Hansaegee Nature and why I'm obsessed with them. As you all know, I've been using and loving their bubble cleanser and moisturizer religiously for quite some time now. I love them, they did my skin good, end of story.

So, what is Hansaegee Nature? If you don't already know, it is a skincare brand based in Malaysia and all of their products are 100% made in the Korea. And to always provide high quality and safe product to the consumer is their goal. This brand has been in the industry and been direct importing high quality and original skincare products from the Korea for 7 years now and I honestly don't have any idea why is that not many people talking about them? They deserve the spotlight.

Speaking of Korea, you know they do not play around when it comes to skincare. They are one of the best because all ingredients in their products are legally approved and safe to use. No hesitation. You can go to their website and click the 'About Us' menu to know more about them!

Where to get them?

All Hansaegee Nature products are only available at their official website at You only can get it here and I don't guarantee the genuineness and authenticity if you get it from other sources.

One of their bestseller product of ALL TIME is none other than the Gold Nano CC Cream that I've been itching to try. The name itself is intriguing, doesn't it? Fast forward to 2016, they introduced the Aqua Whitening Cream (that I love so much), followed up by the Aloe AC Clean Bubble Cleanser (that I love so much as well) recently in the year 2018. I'm so excited with the variety of their products, they cater from eye care, facial masks and lots of new skincare products in the future to achieve the complete skincare experience to the users.

I'm so devastated that my most treasured cleanser and moisturizer are almost come to an end. I feel so 'sayang' to use the heck out of them now. But fret not! I'm here to show you step by step on how to shop at Hansaegee Nature website and I'm gonna stock up on my favorite bubble cleanser and moisturizer.

How to shop at

Step 1:
  • Go to the website -
  • Sign up as a member. I really recommend you to sign up as a member as it will give you the privilege to easily track your order status, create wish list etc.

Step 2:
  • Register your name, email address and password. All the ush.
  • Once you're registered, 50 points will be credited to your account, just like that! *snaps finger*

Step 3:
  • Here comes the fun part! Choose the products that you desire, how many you want and add to your cart!
  • It is so easy and the website is pretty much straightforward. Here, I am going to select my favorite combo set that has the Aqua Whitening Cream and Aloe AC Clean Bubble Cleanser and add to my cart.
  • One more thing I like about shopping at their website is that they offer free gifts for every purchase depending on how much you spend. The more you spend, the cooler the free gift you'll be getting!

Step 4:
  • You're almost done. All you have to do now is pay for your order. Click the 'Go To Checkout' button and proceed to pay.
  • You have the online transfer, deposit ATM or credit card as your payment option. I'm gonna go with online transfer because that's the most convenient for me.
  • As for the delivery process, you have 2 courier service options: Poslaju and Gdex. I choose Poslaju because I'm so used to them.
  • Not to mention, if you have any issue, you can always count on them. Their customer service is tip top. They will help you, just give them a contact through phone call/ WhatsApp/ Live Chat and they will gladly assist you.

Now we can sit back, relax and wait for our parcel to arrive at our doorstep. For your information, for every purchase that is worth RM 70 and above, you will get free shipping within Malaysia. I know right?! I really adore their effort on making us happy and not making us wait for a long time - your parcel will be processed and shipped out on the same day (if you make a payment before 10 am), some even arrive the next day or 3 to 5 working days, which is so fast!

It does not end there. You will also earn 1 reward point for every RM 1.00 spent on the website. And for every 100 points, you will get to redeem a discount for your next purchase! The best part is the reward points will never get expired. So generous of them, right?

Another thing that I think worth mentioning is that their effort in giving detailed information about each and every products they have on the website. It's honestly annoying if you're keen to try a certain product but they don't provide enough information about it. But I loooove the fact that Hansaegee Nature provided in depth details about their product. I mean, just look.

And, this is what's inside of my parcel look like:

I'm so happy! This is like my happy month. Everything is working so great! Anyway, back to my parcel, that came in with a bubble wrap but I got excited and tore it right away. But can we just talk about this is what you'll be getting from your purchase? There's boatload of free gifts! - a mirror, a pen, a pouch and a lovely paper bag? You best bet I'm going to keep that in my paper bag drawer. Their team is so super generous! I love love love it.

All in all, I think everything is worth it from the first time trying the products out and now repurchasing them. I really had a great experience with Hansaegee Nature. I am not saying this for the sake of views or whatsoever but I genuinely think they deserve the shot. I honestly want you guys to experience it yourself and so that we can share our thoughts together!

Lusts Lately

Hello gorgeousness! I've been eyeing and lusting after things a lot lately. Like, a lot. I don't even know if my bank account can keep up with all these crazy sales. That, my friend, made me scrolling through everything from Sephora, Zalora, Hermo, Christy Ng - the list could go on and on.

I'm still contemplating everything you will find in this post. I have a feeling I'm going to get them all someday, not now, obviously. Not until I get a real job.

Christy Ng Hermazing Dusty Rose Bag | Preview

I've been eyeing this handbag for quite a few months now. The color is to-die-for! Who doesn't love that color. I hope this is not a limited edition because I really, honestly want one.

Palermo 3 layouts template by MairaGall | Live Preview

It's beautiful, it has 3 layouts, it's currently on sale and I was that close (refer the image above) to proceed with the payment but I know this is just my lust taking over me so I hold everything back. I need to remind myself, I spent a flipping 200 ringgit on my current theme and I'm going to use it until I cannot anymore. Okay? Okay.

Ariani Fayre Diamond Shawl | Preview

This collection though... I'm weak for this collection, Ariani. If I had the money, I honestly want it in every single color. Okay, not every single color, that sounds over the top. Maybe 5 or 6 is okay? Or 10?

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Long Wear Foundation | Preview

I've been swatching this foundation whenever I'm at Sephora, at least 5 times and never actually get it. I really want to try it but I'm afraid it's not going to worth my 136 ringgit. What if I really like it and I ran out of it one day, am I willing to spend a hundred and thirty-six ringgit, again?

What are you lusting after lately?

Beauty Product Empties #3

Hello beautiful people! Woah, it has been quite a long time since I did my last empties. It really did took some time to finish a product, especially if you are always trying new products day and night and somehow neglected your older products. Well, that's usually my case. Apart from that, I have just been waiting until I have enough things to mention in a blog post, and I finally do.

You know the drill with a blog post like this - I will highlight the pros and cons and I will tell you if I would repurchase it or not in the future. Also, I am thinking of highlighting if there is any bad ingredients in a certain product as I am more concern of what I put on my face now. Hopefully, one can benefit from it and do his/her research.

Anyway, let's finally get into this empties post.

Bio Essence Bio-Water Moist-In Water Lotion

I believe this is marketed more to the people with dry skin, however, my skin which is the opposite of dry loves it to the core! I can see why because it doesn't contain a high level of bad ingredients other than Phenoxyethanol. I honestly think my decision in trying this was a right move. By the way, this is the old packaging that you are seeing. They have revamped the packaging along with their formula. I really like the latest one because they added Niacinamide in the ingredients!

Bad ingredients : Phenoxyethanol
Would I repurchase : Yes! I am more excited now as they added my favorite ingredient recently.

Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Body Mist

Oh my goodness. I know, right? This is literally so OG and probably nobody is talking about it anymore. However, this is my #1 favorite body mist because it holds something sentimental to me. That's why it's almost impossible for me to part ways with it. This is very likely how I smell at home.

Bad ingredients : Butylphenyl methylpropional
Would I repurchase : I know I said it's my #1 favorite but this time around, I am going to pass because I am trying something else.

Abbott Complete Multi-Purpose Solution

I have been using this brand as my contact lens solution. If you didn't know by now, yes, I wear contacts. Pretty much 90 percent of the time. I have started wearing contact lens since I was 14 up until this very day. So, that's that. Anyway, I love this contact lens solution just because I didn't experience any discomfort, infection, irritation or such.

Bad ingredients : None
Would I repurchase : It's a staple, so my answer is definitely yes.

Maybelline The Powder Mattes Lipstick in Touch of Nude

Hands down, my favorite nude lipstick! One of my go-to lip now. It's stunning for every day nude or for any special occasion. I like the formula as it's not drying kind of matte. It has impressive wear time and wide range of eye-catching shades. One thing though, it is so soft that it breaks literally upon my third usage.

Bad ingredients : None
Would I repurchase : Yes! And I would love to try other shades too. Tell me what's your fav!

Biore UV Perfect Protect Milk Moisture

I wanted to love this - it's not leaving any white cast effect, the finish is matte and it's bloody cheap. But you guys, I realized that this is what's causing my pores clogged so bad and it's making my makeup look awful. I genuinely frustrated that this doesn't work for me.

Bad ingredients : Fragrance
Would I repurchase : Sadly, no. I have better options.

Biore UV Anti-Pollution Body Care Serum Extra Moist

This, however, is the better option. I am a fan! I really like it. It's insane how not many people talk about this because it doesn't clogged my pores, it's hella moisturizing, amazing underneath my makeup and I can see that my face is soft and glowing after using it. However, it does leave a pretty noticeable white cast though and if you happen to have an open wound on your skin it will sting a bit.

Bad ingredients : Fragrance
Would I repurchase : I am so into it, so yeah.

Maybelline Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara

I know I said I was not going to repurchase this on my previous empties, but I want to give this mascara another shot. There's something about it that I know will worth the money, although it's not that pricey to begin with. And I was right. I just have to try another technique with this mascara - I will coat them really thick at the roots and feathery out and thin towards the end. Then this mascara is love.

Bad ingredients : Parabens
Would I repurchase : It's a decent mascara but I am trying something else better than this. This time, I really wouldn't repurchase okay?

Have you tried any of these products? And tell me, are you a fan of repurchasing products that you finish or do you prefer trying new ones?

How Much Do You Know What Goes Into The Skincare and Cosmetics You Buy?

I feel like most of the time we don't realize what we're putting on our faces and I used to be one of them. I didn't do any research and sadly I didn't even want to understand the list at the very back of my skincare and makeup products that's usually major extensive and unpronounceable.

Long ass list of unpronounceable ingredients shouldn't be a problem because that's just show how lazy you are as a consumer. You should know what goes into the products you buy because that's going to be the 'food' for your skin.

Does it really matter?

Well yes. It does. At least for me. This is the time to take note whether your favorite lipstick or makeup remover contain any nasties or not, as well as understanding the ingredients because that's the key to know how effective it is or is it the other way around.

Does this mean I have to analyze every single ingredients on Google?

Yes, you have to analyze but fret not! I am going to show you how to analyze it in the most simplest and fun way. All you have to do is to be the opposite of lazy and of course, you have to have your phone or laptop, whichever you prefer.

SkinCarisma is my favorite! SkinCarisma is a website for beauty enthusiasts like us to easily discover the right products for our own preference. The website - easy to navigate, amazing interface and beginner-friendly. Normally if you are using a well known product, they usually already have the data of that particular product in their record so you don't have to copy and paste the ingredients yourself.

However, if there's zero data of the product you are using, just click the 'Cosmetic Analyzer' on the menu, copy and paste the ingredients list and start analyzing and take notes!

Here I will show you what SkinCarisma has to say about my favorite foundation :

Basically a really good foundation for oily skin. Duh?
So now you know what goes into my favorite foundation. It's pretty easy to understand, very straightforward. If you are having a hard time analyzing, I suggest you to read everything slowly. I, too, was pretty confused at first but once you get the hang of it, it will turn out to be a piece of cake.

However, if you are still having a hard time with SkinCarisma, you can opt for CosDNA. I used to be obsessed with CosDNA but I guess I found a better website so I rarely go to CosDNA now. Both websites are offering the same thing where you can analyze ingredients at ease but it's just the matter of preference, I guess?

Are you intrigued to know what goes into your skincare and cosmetics now?
Well, happy discovering!

IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder vs Silkygirl No Sebum Mineral Powder | Which One I Like More?

Hey gorgeousness! We are going to have a loose powder showdown today. That sounds dramatic, isn't it? Whatever it is, I will be reviewing the IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder and the Silkygirl No Sebum Mineral Powder. Before I start pro and con-ing things, let me tell you something. Living in a humid country and trying to survive a good makeup day is a constant challenge. It's even more of a challenge if you have oily skin.
Thank god for loose setting powders, right? This time around, I'm in the hunt for different loose powder other than my precious Catrice Nude Illusion Loose Powder that I treasure so much. I know I gotta try something else and now I have these two to review them together with you.

IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder | 11 g | RM 17 - 18

The IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder is a soft, smooth and silky loose powder that is formulated with Vitamin E and pearl powder to enhance skin radiance. It comes in one shade, which is the Natural shade that is perfect for all skin tones. The texture is so soft and smooth, it stays true to what it claims. But I don't think it is super refined like a translucent powder. Regardless, I still dig it.

I like the fact that this loose powder has a natural undertone and not leaving that white cast look on me. It contains a little bit of micro glitter in it, which some people might not like it but not me. It is not that noticeable, so I am fine with it. As far as finish goes, it has a satin or semi matte finish in my opinion because it has a little bit of sheen peeking through. Let's put it this way, it is matte but not an overly matte type of powder that sometimes can make your under eye areas look wrinkly and dry.

It sets my makeup beautifully and I honestly love this powder because it doesn't crease so much on me! If you happen to have some fine lines and creases on certain area of your face, powders tend to settle in those area. But with this powder, I would say it is minimal to almost zero creases.

One more thing, y'all probably bored already hearing me say I have oily skin but guess what? Imma say it again. I have oily skin but I don't need to touch up throughout the day if I am wearing this powder. Yeah, maybe I need a little bit of touch up here and there because let's be honest, I am such an oil slick at the end of the day but it won't be necessary because this powder absobs and controls most of the oil all day long.

Oh my goodness, I think I might like this one better than the Catrice one. It contains more than what the Catrice has offered and cheaper too!

Regardless of all the nicest things about this loose powder, I have to say one thing that I don't really like about it. Just a little heads up, it can look heavy on the skin if you are not be careful with it. No, it is not cakey by any means. It has the ability to make you look like you have so much makeup on. My advice: just dab a little bit of the powder using the powder puff provided and carefully build as you go. That is what I always do and I do set it with setting spray to tone it down a tad.

 Not overly matte finish
It has a sheen to it to boost the radiance of my skin
Minimal to almost no creases
Great staying power
Absorbs and controls oil
Travel-friendly packaging
Great value for money

It can look heavy on the skin
Sometimes I have to set it with setting spray
Only comes in one shade

Anyone that loves not overly matte setting powder
Anyone that has oily skin, dry skin or combination skin
Anyone that hunts for inexpensive option of loose powder

Silkygirl No Sebum Mineral Powder | 5 g | RM 21

Seems familiar, huh? This could be a total dupe for the remarkable Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder. Well, the real question is are they similar? I would say, extremely close. This Silkygirl No Sebum Mineral Powder is super soft in texture. Fine, super fine powder. For your information, this is the loose powder I use before applying my foundation. Yeah. That is how I keep my base looking perfect all day. It absorbs the sebum out of my face for foundation to adhere better onto my skin. Anyway, here's my foundation routine if you fancy a read.

I cannot emphasize enough how oil-controlling this loose powder, hence the name. I am obsessed! As far as finish goes, it has a completely matte finish. Almost overly matte in my honest opinion. I have a great liking for it only if I lightly set my foundation with this powder because it is clearly white and I don't want any white cast effect on my face.

So I guess you can say that I like this powder as a base powder before applying foundation rather than to set my face. It does a phenomenal job keeping my foundation looking greaseless all day long. As for applying it at the last stage of my foundation, I am not into it so much. Don't get me wrong, I love it but definitely for a different purpose other than setting my foundation. It is a versatile loose powder, after all. It is versatile enough to be used for other benefits too.

 Works great underneath the foundation
No 'separating' at the end of the day
Controls oil
Long lasting
No fragrance
Not leaving any major creases
Travel-friendly packaging

It can leave a slight white cast
So much money, so little product

 Anyone that has oily t-zone
Anyone that has been looking for a dupe for the Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder

My verdict:

I love them both equally. Sorry to disappoint but I love them both for a completely different reason. I like the Silkygirl No Sebum Mineral Powder better underneath my foundation, meanwhile for setting my whole damn face, I really fancy the IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder because I don't like an overly matte kind of skin now. So yeah, that's that. I hope you enjoy today's post. See you on the next one! xx

What is your favorite loose setting powder?
