Tea Time Vol. 7 | “Brookies”, Painting, And A Cut Crease Eye Look

Tea Time Vol. 7 | “Brookies”, Painting, And A Cut Crease Eye Look
Hello, gorgeousness! It's been a while since my Tea Time post. Can you believe we're just a few days away from 2021? Each and every new year is a pretty big deal for me so I always get anxious but in a good way if that makes sense. Anyway, how have your days been? I hope it has been wonderful for you and that you've found joy in the littlest of things. Let me share a quick catch-up of my daily life recently.

I made “brookies”

When I am itching for something sweet, my first choice to munch on would be a cookie or a brownie. Brownies are my favourite dessert to make as it's easy and quick. In that sense, an updated brownie post would be appropriate, huh?

I love cookies as well as brownies so combining them together you'll get “brookies”! Get it? Brownies + cookies = brookies! It's soft, chewy, rich, chocolatey, decadent, and overall scrumptious with a crispy crust and crinkly top. It's my first time making it and they are pretty addictive I would say. Definitely gonna make it again in the future.

Check out the recipe (and some tips on baking a brookie) I shared on my Instagram highlights if you're into brownies.

Painting a scenery (harder than it looks)

Tea Time Vol. 7 | “Brookies”, Painting, And A Cut Crease Eye Look
Last week, I asked my eighteen-year-old sister to give me some painting lessons. It was out of nowhere, maybe I was a bit too bored at home so I wanted to try things I haven't done before. I don't know how to paint a single shit for the life of me.

I don't even know how to hold the brushes to have even pressure. I was struggling and panicking and my sister, she's the best and the most patient art teacher. Trust me, you don't want me in your art class. I was in no doubt enjoyed the experience and would love to paint more. My sister is currently practicing painting on a CD. I will share the process if that's something you want to know more about!

For reference, in my painting lesson, we're using the HIMI gouache paint and probably 300gsm painting paper with lots type of brushes.

Cut crease eye look

I've been playing with a bunch of eye looks recently and surprisingly I kinda snatched the cut crease eye makeup this time around? This is not me. I used to hate cut crease eye looks because it looks terrible on me (read: I don't know how to do it in the first place).

Anyway, yes, my cut crease looked so good this time! I went bananas so I went ahead and added the “foxy” eye effect to give the illusion of elongated eyes. I aimed it to be neutral and soft with a hint of sultry and lifted look. What would you call this eye look?

Stay safe and be seeing you xx

  5. What a very nice job you did with your makeup! You look beautiful! My hands were not created to master liner, let alone cut crease :)
I'm also loving the idea of brookies and painting, I do have some art supplies that need some dust off.
