Why I Love The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

Hello, gorgeousness! Today I have the most exciting product to share with you. This is the moisturizer that I have been teasing you about in my previous blog post. It's the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. I was mainly drawn to this moisturizer because it contains hyaluronic acid and some people have been saying it is a dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. So I thought, maybe it is some good stuff.

As the name suggests, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is a very lightweight product with a soft gel texture. It comes in a luxury looking and attractive packaging that has a nice weight and heft to it. The aqua blue really represents the feeling of water and hydration for sure. It contains 50g of product and that's pretty generous. This moisturizer can last more than 3 months for me.

Why do I love the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel?

As I said earlier, it contains hyaluronic acid. It is a great moisturizing molecule as it is able to hold up to 1,000 times of its weight in water, resulting in more supple, smooth, and moisturized skin all day. I am particularly obsessed with hyaluronic acid because it's one of the ingredients that will instantly plump your skin making it feel like you have the healthiest skin in the entire world.

I absolutely love the texture of this moisturizer! It's so lightweight. It feels like water, literally. It's fluid-y but not runny, almost thinner than most gels with a very light aqua (almost translucent) colour. It absorbs almost immediately into the skin after application. No greasiness whatsoever, just moisture and hydration.

Ingredients: Water, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Cetearyl Olivate, Dimethiconol, Sorbitan Olivate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Carbomer, Laureth-7, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylexyglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, C12-14 Pareth -12, CI 42090

85% of the ingredients are listed as 'low risk' according to the EWG Health Rating standard. That's almost satisfying for me to know because my skin reacts almost immediately if she hates a certain ingredient. I have been using this moisturizer for almost a month now, and nothing awful happens.

Apart from hyaluronic acid, it also contains quite a number of different dimethicones. As you may know or not know, dimethicones are silicon-based ingredients that will form a layer on top of the skin. You know it's gonna smooth out your complexion and that my friend, makes it a great base for makeup. I never really mind dimethicones in my skincare products as I am not sensitive to them.

What I love more about it is the way it smells. It has a fresh and very soothing scent. I love smelling it, especially in the morning. It smells like cucumber but not really that. I cannot confirm what it is. But it is refreshing.

All in all, I really like how Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel feels on my skin as it fulfils my skincare needs. It gives me enough hydration and does not irritate my skin. I believe this moisturizer is targeted towards people that lean more to oily and combination skin. I don't think it will provide much help if you have dehydrated skin or dry skin.
