I'm not gonna lie, I spent hundreds and hundreds of ringgit just to test out as many beauty products as I can because you will never know how a certain product reacts until you try it on yourself. Or maybe I just love spending my hard earned money on things I love. #IAmWhoIAm

This time around is actually a great time for me to experiment a bit and yes, I'm upping my beauty game before 2019 starts! Among my newly acquired beauty routine, I have been paying attention to my skin more. But I threw in some makeup products here and there as well because you know I can't resist. Brace yourself because this post is a long one.

Beauty Discoveries | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

I will start with the Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil | RM 42 that got me surprised with the price tag here in Malaysia, at least. The normal price for this is RM 42 if I'm not mistaken and I got it on sale for RM 36, which is fine. Regardless of the price tag, I love this stuff so much! It provides such a smooth and efforless cleansing process. I was quite surprised that upon massaging the oil, my skin was completely void of the makeup. I found that it does a great job removing my waterproof mascara too. It seems to remove it effortlessly without the need for harsh rubbing. I'm more than satisfied with this and now I know why it's marketed with such price tag.

Next up, let's talk about this new product exclusively by Watsons, which is the Rice Bran & Soy Bean Illuminating Essence Lotion | RM 41. I have not seen this product particularly being reviewed by many people so I'm intrigued to try it out myself. I'm still in the fence with this one though. Maybe I have to try it more often since I only use this during night time. The reason why I picked it up was because Niacinamide is the top 5 ingredient in this essence so I know it won't disappoint me.

Then, I swayed by another product that also contains Niacinamide. I know, I can't stop myself. Other than that, it promises to achieve flawless skin in just 30 days! Of course I'm sold! Yes, it's the Some By Mi Miracle Toner | RM 49.90 I'm talking about. Just a little heads up, it's not really a miracle because I have been using it for more than 30 days and my skin got no where near flawless. Yeah, sorry to break it out to you. BUT! Don't get me wrong. I'm not disappointed with this toner. I think magbe I need more than 30 days to achieve the claim. One thing that I noticed, it purges all of my acne and then heal them and minimize the pores. So it's kinda great too, I guess.

Apart from my oily skin, I also think acne scars are part of my skin concerns. So I went to my local drugstore to pick up any post-acne treatment to vanish all of these disturbing scars. I was sold by Hiruscar Post-Acne Gel | RM 38 because of course it contains Niacinamide (sorry if y'all bored with my reasoning) and people on Twitter have been raving about it for quite a hot minute. Nevertheless, I think my dark spots have improved miraculously. It has not fully recovered by any means but I could feel that with frequent usage, I can get rid all of my acne scars! It also says within 4 weeks, you will see the best result. I don't if I should buy that.

Moving on to the latest addition in my skincare routine, welcome aboard Bougas Beauty Serum | RM 65. I'm pretty sure almost all of my Malaysian readers have heard about it at least once. For my international readers, it's basically a serum from a local skincare. Anyway, I love this one as it fixes my skin in just few weeks, especially with my oil production! Other than that, it hydrates my skin, balances my moisture barrier, minimizes acne build up and reduces existing ones. Not all local products are trash, okay?

Okay, let's talk about makeup! I'm so excited. I recently bought the IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder | RM 17 because I just want to try every single loose powder at the drugstore so that I will take note which one is worth purchasing and which one is not. For this loose powder particularly, I have a love-hate relationship with it. Okay, I love that it's long wearing and produce tiny to almost zero creases. I really like it. But it literally makes you look like you have slapped tons of powder on your face. Whenever I wear it, my makeup looks 'heavy', I mean IT'S THERE. Y'know what I mean? Apart from that, I really think it's great and a bargain too.

Last but not least, phew, I finally got the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer | RM 65. I'm so excited when I got this, I immediately went home and applied it on my face. So nice, buttery and easy to blend. Did I mention about the scent? Ugh, it's to-die-for! There's nothing to hate about this bronzer though, unless you don't like shimmer and sheen on your bronzer, you will not enjoy this.
