My 5 Must-Have Skincare Items for Flawless Skin

My 5 Must-Have Skincare Items for Flawless Skin
Oh. My. God. I have tried and tested an embarrassing amount of skincare products just to be flawless. I have had a tough time figuring out which ones are worth it and perfect for my skin. I have come across some amazing products along the way, and some are pretty terrible and I hate it.

These are what I am currently using and loving. I have a good mixture of affordable and slightly pricey skincare items. I know there are a ton of products on the market and this is just not the be-all, end-all of what's great out there. This is just what's working best for me. Let's just stop right there. Check out what I use to get the juiciest and flawless skin!

Here are my 5 must-have skincare items:

Hydrating toner

Two words: Game. Changer.

This is one of the items you shouldn't miss out on! Hydrating toner restores the skin's natural pH balance. It's really important to keep the skin's natural pH balanced all the time. The key is to be balanced here. Your skin can't be too acidic or too alkaline.

If you're suffering from any breakouts at the moment, please consider getting yourself a hydrating toner. Make sure it says "hydrating toner" on the bottle and only then you're good to go.

Sheet masks

If you don't already know, this is what I am most dedicated to. I am very fond of sheet masks and I would like to keep it that way until I am old. Sheet masks ditch skin problems for good. #Fact

Some say the only thing sheet masks do is hydrate, which I have to disagree with. It's more than just hydrating. If it's really true though, you lose nothing, babe, because #HydrationIsAlwaysTheKey

AHA BHA/chemical exfoliator

When it comes to AHA toner, it's no surprise that I love my Pixi Glow Tonic. It's definitely a cult favorite! If you don't have any idea what is AHA toner, it's an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates the skin.

Do not freak out by the name acid. It's really mild and safe to use on a regular basis. If you have PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) like yours truly, a chemical exfoliator is going to be your best friend.

Vitamin C serum

Vitamin C serum is perfect for you if you want to speed up the healing process of your acne scars. Apart from reducing scars, it is also improving the skin's overall complexion. If a dull complexion is one of your skin concerns, consider incorporating vitamin C in your skincare regimen to promote healthy and glowing skin.

Sunscreen

I love sunscreens. I will not skip sunscreen even when it's not sunny outside. You see, doesn't matter how simple or tedious your skincare routine is, it won't be effective if your skin is exposed to harmful UV rays.

Ever since using sunscreen regularly, I am not getting acne as much as I did before. I can't say enough about how amazing it is to use sunscreen daily. If I catch myself skipping this step, my skin will suffer the next day.
