Reading: Very Irresistible Playboy by Lila Monroe. Currently on page 131 out of 212 so I am halfway there, kind of. It's a very enjoyable e-book so far. Hopefully, I can finish it by next week. If you're a fan of sassy, rom-com romances, and for the most part, Sophie Kinsella, you are going to enjoy this piece.

Writing: I am not writing or planning to write anything at this moment, other than this post because I have done 3 blog posts ahead a few days ago that are ready to be put up on the blog at any time. I know, right? Who is this girl?

Listening: to Ku Bersuara by Ernie Zakri. I have been listening to the one she sang at AJL34. It's mindblowing! I didn't know she has such a powerful vocal that could blow me away. It's such a shame she didn't manage to win any award at all at AJL34. Apparently, the judges were either dumb or musically deaf. #JustMyTwoCents

Thinking: About a lot of stuff. Oh! Next month I will be going on an exciting vacay and hopefully, I can capture everything and blog it here. Ahh, I can't wait!

Smelling: Nada. I catch a cold this morning from waking up too early.

Wishing: ...that whatever happens later will turn out just fine and I am grateful for it.

Hoping: My package to arrive at my doorstep by today or tomorrow morning. I honestly have no patience left.

Wearing: A spaghetti-strap maxi dress that has lots of daisy flower prints on it.

Loving: My life at this moment. It's all coming together and I hope it stays like this for a while <3

Wanting: A turtleneck shirt. Where can I find one that is affordable and hijabi-friendly?

Needing: A new tempered glass for my messed-up Samsung phone. That phone honestly needs an upgrade or 'grooming', if you will. It's so messed up lol.

Feeling: Sleepy because homegirl accidentally woke up early and it's Sunday? I need my beauty sleep.

Clicking: Around Youtube, Bloglovin' and my blog.

How's your Sunday, gorgeousness?

How's your Sunday, gorgeousness?

Hello, gorgeousness! I have come to believe that I am not easy to please. I am a picky and choosy blogger and blog reader. I do follow a lot of blogs but more often than not, I always go back to the ones that I really, really like and that's it. So today I am going to show you 5 things I look for in a blog and appreciate them as a blog reader myself.

A smashing 'about' or 'about me' page

Let's start off with something that I do expect in every single blog that I encounter. It is always one of the first things I look for when I find new blogs. Just a brief summary of yourself written in the first person and preferably with a picture. A smashing 'about' or 'about me' page is definitely my speed. I really appreciate it if you could tell me about yourself and what your blog is about and all that jazz.

Typography

Your choice of font plays a big part, especially for your blog post. With thousands of options available, it can be overwhelming to choose fonts for your blog. Some of the body fonts that I really like are Montserrat, Playfair Display, Raleway, Karla (my current body font), and Cormorant. Also, the font size is equally as important as the font – 12px to 14px is good enough for me.

Blog design/ theme

I might sound like a hater but most Malay bloggers are using free themes on their blog. No hate but it's easier for me to walk away from those kinds of blogs. I am not saying you need to hire a professional to design your blog. But if you could at least spend some cash on buying a better theme because I see no harm. Most of the time it's hard to create a great impact on your first-time visitors if you're using a free and so-two-thousand-and-ten kind of blog design.

Check out shopgrabrielamelo, BerenicaDesigns, and UnderlineDesigns on Etsy and thank me later.

Your very own quality images

I do use stock photos on my blog (I'm even using it now) and that is something that I have mentioned quite a few times here. Stock photos are not new to me. I have been using it for ages. But y'know sometimes there's just something so true to life if you're using your own images and not have it edited too, too much. As you can see I take most of the photos in this blog myself using my own crappy phone camera but that's what I like. And when I find new blogs that are pretty much like mine, I'll be like: Where have you been? Why am I not following you already?

A niche

I know, I know. This could be a controversial one (or might not) but I just like it when blogs have a niche. And when one is so confident in his/her niche, it blows my mind. Most Malay-written blogs don't have a specific niche and it irks me. Once again, I swear I am not hating on Malay bloggers. I am just so much more attracted by blogs that have niches. It looks very professional in my honest opinion. Especially if they stick to it. It could go a long way.

What do you look for in a blog? What do you appreciate the most as a blog reader?

Now playing: Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had

Hello, gorgeousness! I haven't really sat down and write and having my own little time with my blog for a week or so. I was crazy busy. My last post was pre-scheduled and I do have a lot of posts in my draft that need some love and of course, editing but I just haven't got the time. I am pretty sure most of us that have a full-time job are struggling to write an update on their blog. But hey, here I am now.

I have come to realize that I collect sunset photos on my phone. I have managed to use my phone's camera to take these beautiful photos but sometimes it didn't do any justice but it's alright. This small collection that I have represents some of the most beautiful evenings that I encountered in my life. I always go over and have a look (or maybe two or three) of these snapshots before I go to bed.

*These images are raw (AKA taken by my crappy phone camera) if you're wondering. Enjoy the beauty of a sunset :)

Anyway, I tried the new Mie Sedaap Selection Korean Spicy Chicken Noodle just to see if it really is spicy like the infamous Samyang ramen and guess what? It is spicy. It was so spicy I cried and my eyes were bloodshot red. It's not quite like the Samyang ramen. If you have had Mie Sedaap noodle in your life before just imagine that and the Samyang ramen combined. It definitely has more flavor and tastier in my opinion. And I like the fact that it gives you the option to have it super spicy or toned-down spicy. I, of course, went for the super spicy because I have no self-control.

What have you guys been drinking these days? I have been drinking more boba tea, of course, if that doesn't ring any bell. I tried Gen.Z in my last Tea Time post and recently I could be seen walking around or just relaxing while sipping on my boba tea from Grand Papa. It's a bit cheaper than Gen.Z and carries just the same amount of menu as Gen.Z. The taste was quite good. I got their signature boba tea and I like it! It's sweet enough to make me go and have it again.

While I am still at it, I also tried a different drink from Gen.Z. Yes, more boba tea. RIP diet. On the flip side, I got their roasted milk tea with ruby pearl and it tasted just okay - won't buy that again. I think I need to take a break a little bit from drinking so much boba tea, don't you think?

That's all for today! Be seeing you xx

Hello, gorgeousness! I am back with another empties post. I hope this kinda post is still relevant and that there's somebody out there really does enjoy empties post. Anyway, today I am showing you all the products that I used up in October, November, and December of last year. So this is like an accumulated empties if you will. During these months I used up quite a bit of product. My goal for 2020 is to make use of my stockpile of products before I actually go out and purchase more.

  • Kayman Beauty CoalFace Soap | Major love! Repurchased and I have 3 in my stockpile and that speaks volume. That's how much I love it.
  • Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner | It's a long time fav. A product that never causes me to breakout. It's hydrating enough to make me rebuy it again.
  • Hiruscar Gel | It's alright but not worth the price tag. I don't plan on repurchasing this. I have other alternatives.
  • Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Moisturizing Gel | A great option of moisturizer for my oily skin gal out there. I am not sure if they still sell this or they have been repackaged because it's been a while since I've seen them on the shelf.
  • Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | My tried and true. Repurchased so many times. I talked about how amazing it is on this post so please check it out if you haven't already.

  • Maybelline Super Cushion Flawless Matte Cushion | I've repurchased this several times but they are not pictured and I've also missed a couple of shots, so that's that. I have mixed feelings for this cushion foundation because I love the texture, how lightweight it is on the skin, it covers up a lot of my redness, it has SPF, but they need to work out on their color selection because it sucks. The product is awesome but the shade range is a no go.
  • Maybelline Superstay 24HR Full Coverage Foundation | MAJOR LOVE!!! I get compliments a lot about my base makeup from day to day and I think I owe it all to this foundation. I've also put it on several clients and they loved it!
  • Silkygirl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation | It's alright. Powder foundation like this is easy to use, it's great on the go, great for touch-ups. I don't plan on rebuying this one in particular because I want to try something else.
  • Silkygirl No-Sebum Mineral Powder | Not planning to repurchase but it's just an okay setting powder to set your liquid base but it 'breaks' or 'separates' on me a lot of the time. I don't do the baking thing with this powder but it still separates so I think that's kinda weird.

  • Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara | Will not repurchase. At all. The SA said it holds curl beautifully for a long time but oh boy, not in my case. The formula is a lil bit heavy for my sparse lashes. If you have thin and sparse eyelashes, I don't recommend this at all.
  • Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser | Classic. Another long time fav. I have a backup of this in my stockpile. Safe and sound in the box. It's an awesome pore filling primer! I use it every day and honestly, my pores are not clogged of some sort but I could be wrong lol. Jokes aside, it works well on my skin and that's that.

  • IN2IT Colour Stix Matte in Rose | Not repurchasing. I typically love jumbo sticks but this, sadly, is too matte and drying and 'crusty' on my lips. I love their other jumbo sticks that have better formulation and texture.
  • Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in Loyalist | I reviewed this on my blog a while back and finally finished it now. IT IS THE BEST! Touch up who? I don't know who that is. Once it's on your lips, it's on your lips the whole day. I am thinking of getting a different color though and if you've tried this, what color do you suggest?
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Super Natural | A beaut! I am not much of a lip gloss kinda gal but this is really beautiful. It's glossy, it makes me think I have the juiciest, plumped lips in the world. I plan on repurchasing but not now.
  • IN2IT Gel Tint in Strawberry and Raspberry | Used to be a staple in my collection. It's actually amazing, perfect for on the go and not worry about messing up. Plan on rebuying it when Watsons does their 50% off sale. Hehe.
  • IN2IT Lip Poppin' Tint in Bang Bang and Kiss Me | Major love! These are the reason why I ditched my other lip tints. The formula/texture is almost whipped-like, the pigmentation is superb and the longevity blew my mind. However, it's a limited edition collection so I couldn't get a backup anymore. It's so sad to see them go. IN2IT, please bring them back!
  • Silkygirl Multi-Vitamin Lip Balm in Candy Pink | It's alright but not planning to repurchase.
  • Maybelline Powder Mattes in Touch of Nude and Toasted Brown | BEAUTIFUL. I have a backup of each one of them in my stockpile and I think they're my perfect nude shade.

Have you tried any of these products?
