Hello, gorgeousness! I get asked all the time about my everyday makeup routine and what my favorites are. But for the most part, people have been curious about my foundation routine which was already up on the blog and you can go ahead read that one too.

As for today's blog post, I am finally putting my everyday glam makeup routine together for you guys. I thought I would go through a full face of favorites as well with y'all. Most of these products I have been using for years. I trust and love them so much. Some are a little newer but they all are must-haves in my routine.

Primer

My current favorite primer is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. You must moisturize and prime your face before putting on makeup for that long-lasting effect, gals. This primer, in particular, is good if you want matte, poreless and smooth canvas before putting makeup on.

Liquid base

Maybelline Superstay 24HR Full Coverage foundation. This is one of my favorite foundations ever. I didn't get to try a lot of foundation in my life because I tend to stick to what I trust and love for many many years until I discover something new. Anyway, I love the coverage and longevity of this foundation. It's suitable for people that have a long day at work and just love a high coverage foundation in general.

Concealer

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer is love. I will legit get a panic attack when I am running low on this concealer. I am not even joking. I love it more than Shape Tape to be completely honest.

Setting

When it comes to powders, my skin can be pretty particular and this IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder is amazing. I use it to set my foundation and concealer and it's perfect. Not drying or cakey whatsoever. This is one of the amazing drugstore loose powders and if you're looking for one, look no further.

Brow

I'm using the Silkygirl Natural Brow Pencil in Dark Brown for ages! No matter how many brow products I have tried in the past, I will always go back to this one. It's cheap and it's definitely my go-to.

Eyeshadow

This is one of the parts where I genuinely think takes the most of my time when I am getting ready. The eyes. I have been loving my 'Yes, Please' eyeshadow palette from Colourpop for quite some time but I recently bought the Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette and I honestly can't go my day without using it now. The shade He Devil, Lumbre and En Fuego are my faves! I also love the darker shades in here. It's actually perfect for me to resemble the look of a smoky liner.

Mascara

For mascara, I have really been loving the IN2IT Lash Define mascara and the L'oreal Lash Paradise mascara. I know, I know. I retract what I said about the L'oreal Lash Paradise in that blog post. To be honest, it's one phenomenal mascara. If you want big, voluminous lashes, then this could potentially be your BFF.

Blusher

I recently discovered a more inexpensive blusher ever existed. That is the Essence Matt Touch Blush in the shade Peach Me Up. If you love peachy, corally kind of blush, I recommend trying this one out. The staying power is amazing! However, I just hate the packaging. It's so fragile. I mean, it's a 14 ringgit blusher, to begin with.

Highlighter

After all these years, I'm still obsessed with my Mary-Lou Manizer. It's a really pretty champagne highlight that I use all over the cheekbones, browbones, bridge of my nose, tip of my nose, cupid's bow, inner corner of my eyes - basically, everywhere. A little extra pop won't hurt, no?

Lipstick

I cannot just wear one lipstick. I love to mix lipstick colors to match my preferred lip combo. For everyday usage, I love the Maybelline Powder Matte Lipstick in Toasted Brown + Maybelline Creamy Matte in Craving Coral. As of lately, I am living for the red/orange-toned lippies and Craving Coral is like the perfect shade for me.

So, that wraps up my go-to everyday glam makeup routine. Let me know if you want me to do reviews of any of these products. And have you used any of the products mentioned? Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

Let's Talk Base | Affordable Base Makeup

Hello, awesomeness. Your bargain gal is back and today it's all about that base. I get asked all the time about what kind of foundation I used and what my favorites are, so I am finally putting this together for you guys.

I am keeping this series (hopefully it'll be a successful series *fingers crossed*) affordable on purpose because who doesn't love a good drugstore gem? And I shared quite a lot of drugstore products I used here in my blog, so it's fitting. If this sounds interesting to you, just keep reading!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser | RM29.90

I love this primer. It's an old favorite. Ever since I revisited and reused this primer for the last couple of months, I am definitely hooked, again. I forgot how good it fills my pores and how it makes my skin so smooth. When I wear this primer, my foundation sits well on top and it doesn't break me out too.

MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY 24HR Full Coverage Foundation | RM54.90

I am a major fan of this foundation! But wait for a second, I was a lover of the Maybelline Fit Me foundation for as long as I can remember. It is the foundation that I have repurchased so many times and it never fails me. However, I have been itching to try the Superstay line and I am super glad I did. If the Fit Me one is good, the Superstay is even better!

The coverage and longevity are no joke. It is soooo much better than Fit Me. I love me some full coverage foundation on a day to day basis, it's just how I am. It doesn't break me out though, I am an oily gal, just a heads up. I love everything about it. It's a wonderful product.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer | RM39.90

I honestly think this concealer is over-mentioned in my blog. It's crazy good. Sometimes it drives me nuts because it performs so well and for that price? Come on...

By the way, yes, you can absolutely tell that Maybelline has a really good track record with me. I am not getting paid by them by any means. Now, back to the concealer. I love wearing this especially for my under eyes. It covers really, really well with minimal creasing. I also love it for highlighting too. What more can I say? It's my baby.

IN2IT Cover Smooth Loose Powder | RM17.50

Seriously, what am I without this powder? It sets my under eyes, smile lines, nose, forehead and chin beautifully, even when I am almost done with my day, my makeup still looks bomb. If you happen to have fine lines on certain areas of your face, powders can settle in those areas. However, in my case, it doesn't do that all that much with this loose powder.

IN2IT Face Poppin' Blur Pressed Powder | RM27.50

I shouldn't even mention this because it's a limited edition collection but I couldn't help it. It's another great, affordable product from IN2IT and somebody has to know. This powder is true to its blurring claims and it gives me the extra coverage that I like. After setting my face with the loose powder, I will lightly set all over my face with this powder and my skin was like facetuned the house! So smooth and I love it.

IN2IT Make-Up Stay Mineral Setting Mist | RM16.00

Last but not least - is this wonderful setting spray. Drugstore brands really stepping up their game and coming out with awesome setting sprays. Who would've thought a tiny setting spray like this could do wonders. I love how it gives even spritz every time and the mist is super fine! It did make my makeup stay flawless for a little bit longer than usual.

Yes, I am 23. Exactly, today.

I can't believe it either.

Being 23 is no better than being 22. And yet it's so unfamiliar and distinct. I am now a young adult though I haven't felt like a young adult for some time. But there is always something you should learn and will learn by this time. Just unsure of what is to come next but hoping it's something good.

Nevertheless, here are my 23 Things To Know Before Turning 23.

1. People change. You are not how you were in school few years back.

2. Own up to your mistakes. Admit and reflect.

3. Social media isn't worth it.

4. You will lose friends, but will always gain new ones.

5. Always, always, find privacy in this public world. Privacy is so rare nowadays.

6. Do not be so obsessed with getting skinny and neglect your health.

7. Do not let other people suffer just because you suffered.

8. When you learn from someone, teach someone else. Never stop learning and teaching.

9. SUCCESS WILL ARRIVE AT ANY AGE. After all, age is just a number.

10. Save some money, even if it's really hard.

11. Be proud of your achievements, even for the littlest bit. You deserve it.

12. Get angry when you are angry. Cry if you want to cry. It is okay to show your emotions and it is better to let it out now than to keep it in forever.

13. Some will love you and some will hate you.

14. Take long walks. It is therapeutic and good for your health.

15. Never let someone make you feel bad for doing something you enjoy.

16. Never beg anyone to stay in your life.

17. Stop apologizing for who you are. You are not here to please everyone else.

18. Sleep more. Get 7-9 hours of sleep a night, every freakin' night.

19. Life is not linear. It can be overwhelming, just take a step back and breathe.

20. Everything in this world is temporary. Appreciate the good while it's there and do not stress about the bad.

21. Somewhere, somehow, shit just works out itself so stop worrying too much. Things always find a way - just be the best you can be. The rest will take care of itself.

22. You will be afraid, but feel the fear and do it anyway, baby girl!

23. You will be okay one day, just know that for now.

What are the things you need to know before turning 23?

Do you know any other things that only us bloggers understand?
Hello, gorgeousness. I know it can be quite a challenge to find things that actually help your blog. I, myself spent hours upon hours researching websites and apps that could help me organize my blogging life.

I have been meaning to do this post so I've gathered quite a few blogging tools and resources that I love to use and has made my blogging life easier. Some of these I discovered through other bloggers and others I found randomly. You don't need all of them, of course, but I used them for my blog every time! Hopefully, these will save you the headache of scouring the internet for the best resources.

Photography/ Editing Apps

Snapseed - This photo editing app is one of my go-to's to edit my blog photos. Snapseed is a powerful editing tool with an easy to use interface that helped improve my blog photography. It has great features and functionality. It also has this amazing 'brush' tool to spot adjust exposure and saturation - I love it to bits!

Lightroom - I occasionally use Lightroom for my blog photos. Most of the time when I'm not satisfied with Snapseed, then I'll use Lightroom. A little heads up, Lightroom is a paid app but worth paying in my opinion.

Canva - I love Canva mainly because I get so inspired to create beautiful graphics and its flexibility! It has nice templates and completely free (there are also paid ones so if you don't mind spending a lil bit of money, go ahead) that I love to use for my IG story every time I updated my blog.

Logopit Plus - A stunning app I used to create my header. The app is pretty simple, straightforward and easy to navigate. You can absolutely do more things with it but I love it as my header maker.

Phonto - If I want to add a certain text to a photo, this is my bestie. It allows me to download my own desired fonts and it's pretty easy to use.

VSCO - VSCO's sharpening and tint tools are pretty decent in my opinion. It has tons of pretty filters too, of course, but for the most part, I love those two functions.

Writing/ Content Creation

Grammarly - Probably the app that has helped me big time with my blog. It's a great app for bloggers whose native language is not English. It detects and corrects grammatical errors, suggests better words for your article and helps construct better sentences in more cohesive ways.

Portent - This website basically helps me generate amazing titles for most of my blog posts. Sometimes when you have a bomb ass article to put up on the blog, you gotta have the most appealing and attention-grabbing kinda title to go with it. There is where Portent comes in.

Stock Photos

Sometimes when you don't have the time to take pictures for your blog, stock photos are always a great alternative. It's totally free and fast. My absolutely favorite websites are Unsplash and Pexels.

Analytics/ Tracking

Statcounter - I love Statcounter. It's not as detailed (and complicated) as Google Analytics but I used Statcounter to just see basic statistics and to see who has visited my blog and where they've come from and whatnot. It's really good for small blogs like mine.

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your favorite blogging resources you're using for your blog!

I Quit Instagram For A While...

Surprise, surprise! As an enthusiastic over-sharer, this was actually a tough decision to make. I love to take a bunch of photos and videos and post them on my Instagram. I like it when I have at least one Instagram story to put up on there. It's satisfaction in a click. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.

So, the moment I decided to take a break from Instagram, my brain is going crazy. I quickly realized how often I glance down just to see if I have a notification, or even if I don't have one, I just want to scroll my Instagram feed okay. When I wake up in the morning, on the way to work, (sometimes, at work, sorry) before I go to bed - it's constant.

I'm hoping with me going Instagram-less, my mind is going to be less scattered and all over the place. I also hope to become more productive, focused from day to day and less checking on my phone just to see if someone followed me on Instagram.

How did I do it? Here's how it went:

The first week was... So. Freaking. Hard. I have a long day at work and usually, during my lunch hour, that's when I tried to catch up on things - by all means, watching everybody's IG stories. It's addictive. Anyway, ever since going Instagram free, I had nothing to distract myself. It's not that I don't have other social media apps that could feed my habit - I just love Instagram more. Unconsciously, even I don't feel like posting, I have this urge to open the app.

Within the second week, I was getting kinda cured of my addictive thumb swiping and checking my phone. I actually felt pretty good doing things without having to document them. I also didn't really miss seeing other people's posts. I mean, yeah, I was curious to know what my friends and favorite celebs were up to and I was a little scared at first to take a break from Instagram, I thought I would miss out on a ton of things. It actually turned out to be A-okay. I spent more time connecting in real life and it was awesome!

Overall:

During my little break up with Instagram, I realized I wake up feeling way more rested. I spent most of my 9 hours at work staring at a screen and cutting down on screen time outside of my job has changed my world. I was able to square away some of the important events in my life. I even tried to drive again (and I am scared, still). I was able to reorganize my bedroom. My business email was cleaned up (finally) and more importantly, I was able to stop allowing Instagram to feed into my anxiety.

I noticed I am far more productive when I'm not reaching for my phone every 2 minutes. I started to feel like there were extra hours in the day like I was given this gift of exercise time and reading time. After all, was said and done, I reaffirmed I am still on Instagram hiatus. I do feel so much better without it. And I am still happily off Instagram to this day.

For now, not planning to come back on IG anytime soon, still going IG-less until further notice.

Have you ever needed a digital detox?

Have you ever needed a digital detox?

Lately, I kinda lost my blogging mojo. I was feeling a little burnout, feeling down about my blog, losing motivation and even abandoned blogging for a while. I quickly deviated from the avenue that I was enjoying. I just lost all my love for it.

I love blogging - it's always so full of fun, creativeness, and excitement that I just can't get enough of. I don't know what went wrong but at some point, I felt like everybody is better than me and I got so sad. I know this happens to us all at one time or another in our blogging journey. But some reflection has been made and I am finally feeling ready to restart again.

So how did I manage to get my blogging mojo back?

1. Remember why I started my blog

Reminding myself why I started blogging in the first place has helped me so much. I can't just let go of my love and passion for blogging. I know most bloggers start their blogs because they have a passion for something and they want to inspire others. I started this blog because none other than my love for all things beauty. I love sharing my opinions and experiences here and I wouldn't want to put a pause to that.

2. Read more blogs

I actually stopped reading blogs for a while because I was so busy and couldn't find the right time to read blogs. Now I'm so guilty! Anyway, I am now making an extra effort to read more blogs in the midst of doing my 9-5 job. It's actually quite fun, inspiring and therapeutic!

3. Stop comparing myself with other bloggers

As bloggers, we do suffer from this, don't we? It seems so easy to look at what the other blogger is doing and wish we were like that too. I have come to realize, we all have our own different stages and different paths. Be patient, your time will eventually come. Just remember your personal definition of success.

4. Trying to fall in love with my blog all over again

First of all, I'm proud of what I have been put up on my blog. I'm proud of what I have written. Second, I have my own domain and it's almost hit that 1-year count and I'm so excited! And finally, this gorgeous template of mine. Although I've been thinking of changing it, I can't seem to do so because I still have a huge love left for this template and it is still relatively new.

5. Find a topic I really wanted to write

I never knew that finding a topic that I really, really, really wanted to write could help me so much getting my blogging mojo back. I just think of the topics in my mind and I can get all hyped up and inspired to blog again. Hence this post :)

All in all, getting my blogging mojo back has been a challenge for me but I am working so hard on continuing to blog and giving you guys only the best content.

So what about you? What do you do in order to get your blogging mojo back? Did any of these tips help you? Let me know in the comments below!

I Lost My Blogging Mojo and Here's How I Got It Back

So what about you? What do you do in order to get your blogging mojo back? Did any of these tips help you? Let me know in the comments below!

First and foremost, let's send a prayer to my bank account due to the excessive shopping spree I did this month. Your girl is going broke! Will she ever learn how to manage her money? I'm not quite sure. In the meantime, let's forget about that and see a few beauty bits and bobs I've picked up recently!

SEPHORA COLLECTION CREAM LIP STAIN | RM46

I feel like Sephora lip creams are soooo underrated. They pretty much outperform luxury. Not to mention they're one of the least expensive liquid lipstick in Sephora. Definitely a fav - it doesn't dry out my lips, pigmented and has a huge, wonderful shade range! And the color that I got is so pretty!  It's like in the middle of a warm and cool-toned rosy mauve color. Perfect for everyday wear.

MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY 24HR FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION | RM54.90

This is the Dream Foundation. It has everything that I need in a foundation - full coverage and long-lasting. The coverage, longevity, and the finish are so much better than Fit Me foundation and it suits my oily skin very well! Thank god. Usually, almost all of the foundation I've tried before always gets collected on my smile lines, but this one doesn't! One thing though, the shade I bought was slightly darker than my skin tone plus this foundation does oxidize. I hate when foundations do that.

FRESH ROSE DEEP HYDRATION FACIAL TONER | RM107

I was so skeptical after reading mixed reviews about this toner and usually, my skin will freak out when my skincare product contains roses but you know what, I decided to give it a go anyway. Turns out, it's actually really, really nice. It doesn't feel harsh, doesn't burn my skin and so hydrating! I just love a good hydrating toner. It's like my skin savior.

IN2IT LIP POPPIN' TINT | RM16-RM18

I am not so much a red lippie kinda gal but this red is surprisingly my cup of tea(?) It feels moisturizing on the lips, non-sticky and long-lasting. It also smells (and tastes) pleasant, which is great. I also love the fact that it is a pigmented lip tint because one swipe on the lips delivers good pigment and coverage.

CATRICE LASH GLUE | RM23

To be honest, I didn't expect this lash glue would work well but because I was so desperate to find a lash glue, this would do. And you guys, it is surprisingly a pretty good lash glue lol. I wore it on my graduation day and god knows how long my day was and my lashes were still intact until I reached home at 10pm! The moment I was removing the lashes, no single glue residue left on my eyelids or my real lashes. The formula is amazing and so is the price.

KAYMAN BEAUTY COALFACE SOAP | RM35

Oh. My. God. I've heard nothing but gorgeous reviews about this local facial soap so I've been itching to try it myself. I would say that it's absolutely my current favorite facial cleanser. It's made from pure honey and activated charcoal that will eventually make your skin flawless and smooth. Which, I can almost see and I'm so excited! My internet friends weren't lying when they said this facial soap works.

KAYMAN BEAUTY ROSA GLOW TREATMENT ESSENCE | RM89

Another local-made product that does wonders. I bought this because I want to get rid of my chickenpox scars faster lol. Since it contains alpha arbutin, might as well give it a try and I didn't regret my decision. Not for one bit. I use it every night without fail and then wake up with glowing skin! That's the best part of using it at night.

What's your recently hauled beauty bits?

Hello, gorgeousness! It's about time for another empties post. I absolutely love reading empties posts so that is why I love making one. If you think I should continue this series on the blog, let me know. Without any further ado, here goes!

TOO FACED PRIMED & PEACHY COOLING MATTE PERFECTING PRIMER | REPURCHASED - Mentioned

I absolutely love this primer! It is a matte and pore-filling type of primer. If you have large pores to cover, you gonna love this primer. As far as oil-controlling power, I would give it a solid A-. It also has this very nice cooling effect upon applying it to the face that I really like!

THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E HYDRATING TONER | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

One of the best hydrating toners I've ever tried! If you are suffering from breakouts or whatever skin issues you may have, please consider getting a hydrating toner. It's SO GOOD for your skin. And this baby right here is a miracle in a bottle. My skin loves it so much. It gives me enough hydration to treat and calm my problematic skin. Highly recommend!

IN2IT COVER SMOOTH LOOSE POWDER | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

If you're on a budget but you still wanna get yourself a loose powder, look no further. I've said this many times that IN2IT makes great makeup. I always go back to this powder even though there are tons of drugstore options out there. Although this powder can make me look like I have makeup on, I don't mind it. I want to look like I have makeup on.

CERAVE FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER | WILL NOT REPURCHASE - Mentioned

I totally get the hype around CeraVe products because most of them worked well on my oily skin such as this facial cleanser. It's a really nice facial cleanser to have because it doesn't irritate my skin, it's really gentle and the ingredients are on point. But! I'm currently using another phenomenal facial cleanser that I think just stole my heart completely. I might talk about it on the blog soon.

WARDAH SUN CARE SUNSCREEN GEL | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

I have gone through bottles and bottles of this. I really need it in a bigger size. Anyway, if you are looking for a sunscreen that contains no alcohol, you can give this a try. My skin hates sunscreen that has alcohol in it which a lot of them has it. The moment I knew that this sunscreen contains no alcohol, it immediately became a favorite.

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONTOUR CONCEALER | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

A lovely concealer that is supposed to not crease into fine lines. That's my typical answer when people ask me about Shape Tape which I do think it works and it's the best. Nothing beats Shape Tape in my opinion. I wore it almost every day and I even wore it on my graduation day. I trust Shape Tape with all of my heart (getting a little emotional right here). It really is an amazing concealer.

CANMAKE STAY-ON BALM ROUGE | WILL NOT REPURCHASE

My aunt got this for me from Japan. I wasn't really into this lip balm at first because I think it's just as the same as other lip balms that I've tried. Frankly, not quite. It performs like a lip gloss, almost?? The consistency and texture are different from what I used to. It's actually really nice but I have tons of other lip balms to finish before they have the chance to expire.

IN2IT MAKE-UP STAY MINERAL SETTING MIST | REPURCHASED - Mentioned

I just love IN2IT, you can tell. I was also not getting paid saying nice stuff about IN2IT. It's all purely my true and honest opinion. Anyway, this setting spray is love. There, I said it. It is extremely lightweight. After spraying it once I was finished doing my makeup, it made my makeup look perfect. It definitely took away those powdery-looking face and revealed a smooth and flawless makeup. I love it!

GARNIER MICELLAR WATER | REPURCHASED - Mentioned

Double-cleanse, people! I always, always use this to remove my makeup before going in with my usual facial cleanser. I went through bottles of this and boy was it the only micellar water that my skin absolutely loves. Although I can feel my skin is a little dry and tight after using it, it never really causes me to breakout. It does its job like no other. I cannot live without this product, to be completely honest.

MARIO BADESCU FACIAL SPRAY WITH ALOE, HERBS AND ROSEWATER | WILL NOT REPURCHASE - Mentioned

I hate the smell of this spray. It straight up smells like your sneeze, really. And the nozzle is not the greatest. It did spit a little and I absolutely hate when that happens. Despite the smell and the nozzle, the product itself is okay and I will consider trying other face mists that Mario Badescu has.

THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E GEL MOISTURE CREAM | WILL REPURCHASE BUT NOT NOW

I fell in love so hard when I first tried this moisturizer. I knew I'm going to love it and the love is still going strong. It is one of the great moisturizers for my oily-combo skin gals out there.

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

When my internet friends said this mascara is awesome, turns out they're not lying. This mascara truly is awesome. I feel like you're going to love it as well even if your lashes are pretty sad like mine. I wish I had been using it and obsessed with it since a long time ago, but the fact that I'm late to the party and I just have been using it this year baffles me.

THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E MOISTURE CREAM | WILL NOT REPURCHASE - Reviewed

To be honest, I can count on this 'just-basic' moisturizer for my oily skin. It's not half bad but my current moisturizer is better because a skincare routine can be so complicated and time-consuming that it is great when you come across one that performs phenomenally in just one step.

MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND CONCEALER | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

Drugstore makeup that outperforms luxury? Yes, please. I don't feel the need to explain myself again why I love this concealer. This is such a staple in my makeup collection. From the coverage, texture, packaging to the price - I absolutely love.

CLINELLE PURESWISS HYDRACALM LOTION | WILL NOT REPURCHASE

This hydrating toner is okay. It is not bad but not great either. I don't like the smell of this toner - it smells like a bed of roses. But what I like about it is that it absorbs to the skin so fast though the consistency is more on the thicker side. Oh, and it didn't cause me to breakout too. Thank god. But I guess, nothing beats my Vitamin E hydrating toner from The Body Shop.

CAUDALIE GRAPE WATER MIST | WILL REPURCHASE BUT NOT NOW - Mentioned

I freaking love a good refreshing and lightweight face mist. This does give me all that I want in a bottle - hydration, moisture, cooling effect etc etc. But having a face mist like this seems a little excessive for me as of now since I want my skincare stash to be minimal hopefully by the end of this year. It is a great product though, not gonna lie.

IN2IT LASH DEFINE WITH FIBRE MASCARA | REPURCHASED - Reviewed

Another drugstore gem! If you love long, big, fat, black lashes, you will love this mascara. I know the wand itself looks like something you cannot trust to give you big, fat lashes, BUT trust me it works. It works on me beautifully. It gives me the nicest clumpy lashes. You know sometimes clumpy lashes can look ugly but this won't make you look ugly. It makes you feel like you have the most gorgeous pair of eyelashes. That's how I feel every time I wear this mascara.

Phew, there goes my beauty product empties. That was a lot of empties! I hope you enjoyed anyway and if you have used any of these products mentioned, please let me know what you think of them.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

Hello, gorgeousness! Today I have the most exciting product to review and share with you. This is the moisturizer that I have been teasing you in my previous blog post. It is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. I was mainly drawn to this moisturizer because it contains hyaluronic acid and some people have been saying it is a dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. So I thought, it is some good stuff.

As the name suggests, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is a very lightweight product with a soft gel texture. It comes in a luxury looking and attractive packaging that has a nice weight and heft to it. The aqua blue really represents the feeling of water and hydration for sure. It contains 50g of product and retails for RM60.20 (price might vary depending on which drugstore you get it; I bought it at Watsons).

Now it is time for me to actually tell you why I love this moisturizer! (I think I love it even more than the moisturizer I got from The Body Shop).

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

As I said earlier, it contains hyaluronic acid. It is a great moisturizing molecule as it is able to hold up to 1,000 times of its weight in water, resulting in more supple, smooth, and moisturized skin all day. I am particularly obsessed with hyaluronic acid because it's one of the ingredients that will instantly plump your skin making it feel like you have the healthiest skin in the entire world.

I absolutely love the texture of this moisturizer! It's so lightweight. It feels like water, literally. It's fluid-y but not runny, almost thinner than most gels with very light aqua (almost translucent) color. It absorbs almost immediately into the skin after application. No greasiness whatsoever, just moisture and hydration.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | LENNE ZULKIFLLY
Ingredients: Water, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Cetearyl Olivate, Dimethiconol, Sorbitan Olivate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Carbomer, Laureth-7, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylexyglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, C12-14 Pareth -12, CI 42090

85% of the ingredients are listed as 'low risk' according to the EWG Health Rating standard. That's almost satisfying for me to know because my skin reacts almost immediately if she hates a certain ingredient. I have been using this moisturizer for almost a month now and nothing particularly bad happens.

Apart from hyaluronic acid, it also contains quite a number of different dimethicones. As you may know or not know, dimethicones are silicon-based ingredients which will form a layer on top of the skin. You know it's gonna smooth out your complexion and that my friend, makes it a great base for makeup. I never really mind dimethicones in my skincare products as I am not sensitive to it.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | LENNE ZULKIFLLY

What I love more about it is the way it smells. It has a fresh and very soothing scent. I love smelling it, especially in the morning. It smells like cucumber but not really that. I cannot confirm what it is. But it is refreshing.

All in all, I really like how Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel feels on my skin as it fulfills my skincare needs. It gives me enough hydration and does not irritate my skin. I believe this moisturizer is targeted towards people that lean more to oily and combination skin. I don't think it will provide much help if you have dehydrated skin or dry skin.

Have you tried anything from Neutrogena? What's your current favorite moisturizer?

Hey, gorgeousness. I've abandoned my Sunday Currently posts for almost a month and I thought I would bring it back just to give you guys an update with what I'm currently reading, loving, etc. I didn't plan on writing today but just checking in, sort of. Been mostly busy with work stuff lately. Anyway, here's a list of the current tingz.

Currently...

Reading: I'm in the middle of The Life of P.T. Barnum by P.T. Barnum himself. I don't know how long it is going to take me to finish this because having a 9-5 job and at the same time struggling to do other things seems undoable. Now I'm just making excuses. Anyway, the book is so inspiring! I love it.

Writing: Not writing anything at the moment. Although I know I must finish writing my empties post and a bunch of reviews. I have a brand new moisturizer that I really LOVE at the moment and I cannot wait to finish writing that one!

Listening: Boyfriend by Ariana Grande ft. Social House. I cannot stop listening to it. It is so damn good?? What the heck??

Watching: Nothing at the moment. Do you have anything good for me to binge-watch?

Thinking: About my graduation that will take place on Thursday, 29th of August. It's bizarre. I get chills every time I mention it. Like omg?

Smelling: Nothing, my nose is being a biatch.

Wishing: Honestly, I'm running out of things to wish for. Haha. Oh wait, I wish I had more money to splurge on luxury makeup items. There, I said it.

Hoping: ...for things to get better. Also, getting the weight and body that I want before my graduation day. You can tell that I'm on a serious diet. Yep.

Wearing: House clothes and naked face! Love me some baggy clothing and fresh, naked face.

Loving: That new moisturizer I bought!!! So freakin' good.

Wanting: A new phone and a ring light. I cannot help myself for wanting a ring light for absolutely nothing because I saw a lot of people on Instagram has it. So I want one too.

Needing: A good, deep sleep. It has been a struggle to have a good night sleep for me as of lately. I don't know. I guess I've been thinking about a lot of things and my brain can't seem to have a rest.

Feeling: Confused and anxious about certain stuff.

Clicking: Around Spotify and my blog.

Hello, gorgeousness! Ever since I got a new job, I am spending my money like there's no tomorrow. I think it's purely because when you have more money, you have a higher percentage of purchasing power. I feel the need to try new things every single day. There's just so much that I haven't tried!

But note that I am not spending more than what I earn. I do have a portion of money that I kept and saved for my future. So no worries. And another thing I think worth mentioning is that when you're intrigued to buy something, please read reviews and ingredients. That's all. Now let's jump right in because I have a lot to say.

01 | MAYBELLINE SUPER CUSHION FLAWLESS MATTE CUSHION | RM 69.90

Right off the bat, the name of this BB cushion is everything that I want when it comes to my base. Flawless and matte. I do love other finishes besides matte, just to let you guys know but my oily skin says no so, I always opt for something that says matte. I picked the shade Natural Beige and to be dead honest, their shade range sucks. I mean, c'mon it's twenty freaking nineteen.

Anyway, it has 14g of product and it has SPF of 25 PA+. Please do not take flash photography with this BB cushion. Just, please don't. Okay, let's talk about the coverage real quick. It's definitely light to medium coverage. It's a drugstore BB cushion, what do you expect? I would say if you don't have a lot of imperfections to cover on your face, this is perfect for your everyday base. If you're a full coverage queen, umm this might not work for you.

Another thing to add, it has a slight perfume scent that I don't like and it does bother me for a couple of minutes. So, you've been warned. Other than that, I think I don't hate this product but I don't love, love it either.

02 | IN2IT MAKE-UP STAY, MINERAL SETTING MIST | RM 16

I bought this setting spray a few days before Hari Raya because I didn't bring any and I want my makeup to last longer on Hari Raya. I don't know if this is new but it's new to me. Okay, you can instantly see polar bears and iceberg on the packaging. It's there for a reason, right? It says iceberg, seastars collagen, aloe vera, and chamomile. I believe those are the star ingredients.

I honestly think it did make my makeup last longer. I think it did a pretty good job holding my makeup in place. People have been complimenting my makeup was so good even though it's freaking 10PM. I could be wrong, maybe it's not because of this setting spray but I don't mind it. It's not expensive and it's alcohol-free. I think it's worth to try, that's what I'm trying to say.

03 | SILKYGIRL OMG POWDER MATTE LIPSTICK | RM 21

I hate this. I'm so sorry, Silkygirl. You can't beat Maybelline's powder mattes. Even though if you're not trying to beat their formula, yours ain't it. This is the most drying lipstick I have ever encountered in my life. It feels like there's almost no moisture, no glide in this lipstick. I'm tugging my lips every time I wear this and it's not something that I would want if I'm wearing lipsticks. The only thing I like is the color and the component. Don't waste your money, girls. Opt for something else if you have dry lips. There, I said it.

04 | SIMPLE REGENERATION AGE RESISTING EYE CREAM | RM 28.90

Here's the thing, I'm not one that cares so much about the skin around my eye area. Until one day I had a thought of having so many wrinkles before I reach my 30's. That's a nightmare in my book. My mom is in her 50's and barely have any wrinkles on her skin! I strive to be just like my momma. So I went and bought an eye cream. An affordable one, of course.

I cannot say that this eye cream completely made my tiny little fine lines vanished. That's honestly me lying to your face. But what I will say though, ever since I'm using this eye cream, my under eye concealer looked so much better. Way, way better than before. It's so smooth and hydrated under there otherwise, it'll be like a Sahara desert okay. I do believe that upon consistent usage, I will actually be able to see a difference but I have been using this eye cream for only a month. So there's nothing much to see yet, but I like how my under eye is behaving as of currently.

05 | SIMPLE KIND TO EYES REVITALISING EYE ROLL-ON | RM 23.90

This is just like a so-so product for me. I mean, it's kind of working and really treating puffiness and tired eyes in general. I like the cooling sensation once you put on the roll-on underneath your eyes. It really wakes you up, especially in the morning. I honestly love that. Overall, I don't hate this product but umm, it's not a favorite of mine. Okay? Let's move on.

06 | L'OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA | RM 53

Oh. My. God. I never picked up a product so fast in my life like I picked up this mascara when I saw it's finally available in my local drugstore! I know, we're pretty late to the party. But let homegirl have a moment. Anyway, let's talk about the product. This mascara is so super hyped up in the beauty community that I was a bit let down actually with it. I was expecting something extravaganza up in here, but the result was... okay... but not what I expected it to be.

I mean, don't get me wrong. It's not bad at all. It's still volumizing, I can promise you that but I can totally achieve that volume with my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. And not to mention this mascara is flipping 53 ringgit a tube. I'm not mad about it but it's nice to have and all.

07 | ESSENCE ALL ABOUT MATT! FIXING COMPACT POWDER | RM 16

I love love LOVE this powder. It's honestly so good if you have oily skin because it's going to keep your makeup matte and intact all day. Not to mention if your eyeshadow won't blend together or patchy in some areas, this baby will come to the rescue. It has saved me a couple of times, thank the lord.

08 | DR. MORITA HYALURONIC ACID ESSENCE MASK | RM 25

I think it's time for me to calm down and not rave so much about the Mediheal face mask because honestly, there are tons of other great options on the drugstore, such as this mask from Dr. Morita. Oh. My. Goodness. I think Imma go and buy another bundle of this mask because it's a godsend. I notice when I wear this at night and I have to wear makeup on the next day, my makeup looks super flawless! I mean c'mon, it has hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, ceramide, and squalane. So, of course, it has to work.

Okay, guys. This post turns out to be like a mini review or something. So I'm going to stop here or else it's going to be super long. I hope you enjoyed today's post and I see you in the next one xx

What's your recently hauled beauty bits?

Hello, lovely humans. I posted quite a lot of beauty related posts, hence this is a beauty blog if you didn't notice but I'm pretty sure you did. I just love blogging. I've always loved writing since I was a kid and when I got into makeup, started a blog whatsoever, I just knew I wanted to run a beauty blog. It felt right, right from the start even though beauty blogging can be expensive. You cannot just let your obsessions with beauty products be gone just like that, right?

However, I do question myself a lot at times - is it really for me, though? Is beauty blogging right for me? I do ask myself silly questions like so even though I've done beauty blogging for many years now. Well, actually, it's not that difficult to figure out if beauty blogging is right for me or not.

So, how did I know beauty blogging is really for me?

Well, I have an obsession with beauty products. Meaning with makeup, skincare, nails, hair products, etc. Let's be honest, if you aren't really into buying makeup and you have a very minimal makeup collection or rarely wear it - beauty blogging is not for you, sweetie. Honestly, I'd be still just as obsessed with makeup even if I didn't have a blog. I love shopping for makeup. It makes me happy and excited. I know beauty blogging can be expensive (now I'm just repeating myself) but I never really mind spending lots of cash on beauty products. Btw, ever heard of this quote, "Do more of what makes you happy"? Exactly.

I love sharing my experiences with beauty products. It's a great enjoyment for me to share what I have been loving as well as the ones that didn't work out for me. I feel so accomplished when I give you guys product reviews because a lot of the time they're purchased by my own money.

I personally think ideas for beauty contents are easily come to me rather than the rest. I have come to believe that beauty blogging does trigger some creativity in me. Although it's not much but still, it does a little. Some people may easily find creativeness when they read, so in my case, it's beauty blogging. I think it's nice to see a well-rounded content in a blog and as well as other beauty related post rather than just reviews.

I'm also hoping to become a well-known beauty blogger and turn my hobby into a full-blown career. If this is not something you would want if you have a beauty blog, then what's the point? Well, of course, to a certain extent I want to see my blog grow and turn into something. Whether to turn it into a career and work from home or focus on another job and have it as a part-time thing. Anything would do. But to be quite honest, I still love blogging whether it turns into something or not. I know I'll have this passion in me for a long, long time and the general love of beauty blogging in me just never lacks.

And that, my friend, wraps up this blog post. I hope you find this a fun and interesting read. Have a wonderful day or night and see you in the next post!

Bloggers, how did you know a certain blogging niche is right for you?

Bloggers, how did you know a certain blogging niche is right for you?

Have you been unfortunate enough to reach your adulthood and only now get chickenpox? It's awful being an adult with chickenpox, for the first time. And why is that? 1) I went to see the doctor not once, not twice, but thrice. I went to the doctor thrice; 2) Got my prescriptions and apparently, I have to drink 4 tablets a day, which is SUPER fun; 3) If you're wondering about the rashes and itching, it's itching like hell and I can't do anything about it except to let it be; and 4) I miss my smooth and flawless skin.

I was advised to stay at home and that I don't have to go to work for a couple of weeks until I am fully fit to be working again. But d'you know what? I realized that I kinda have to since I have the power to infect anyone I want... lol.

All jokes aside, it has only been 4 days and God knows how bad I wanted to go to work. I guess I'm so used to my working routine and actually do stuff. And now when I have to spend my days not doing stuff and lotsa laying-down-in-bed sessions, it's kinda awkward. However, it's really necessary actually since each and every one of my muscles are all in pain and I have bumps all over my body. Even in my mouth. And not to mention, I can't taste food properly and have migraines every freakin' day. But at least, I have the best nurse in the whole wide world a.k.a my momma <3

Anyway, have you gotten chickenpox before? And how old were you at that time?

So... I got chicken pox for the first time

Hello, beautiful people. I miss you! I have been missing from the blogosphere for exactly four weeks. A month! I have so much to say to you now but I feel so awkward talking here after abandoning the blog for a solid one month. Oh, blog, I have missed you so! I must say there's just so much going on in my life that needs 99 percent of my attention so sadly I have to sacrifice the blog even though I have lots of great contents for it.

But first, what's really major happening in my life right now?

If this isn't news to you, your homegirl has got a new job. It's probably not my dream job but I must say it is definitely a job that I enjoy. I got the best colleagues that make me laugh all the time, having to take the responsibilities to pay bills and get to buy stuff without using my parents' money anymore! Uh-mazing! Mom, dad, your daughter is such an independent lady now.

It has been 2 wonderful months of working and little did I know the feeling of furthering my studies isn't really there anymore. It's quite sad sometimes for me because my mom wants me to have at least a bachelor degree. It's definitely something that I have to weigh so many times, guys since it is for my future. For my own good. I feel like it's not my "calling", just yet, I guess. So for the meantime, working it is. Working is fun. So much fun! EXCEPT, not having time to spare for the blog lah. That's a different story.

Anyway, I hope I can get into the swing of things again and having my blogging mojo back. I am so sorry for this short but very-much-needed-life-update post. Expect more post coming from your homegirl! I have so many good things to share with you. I hope you are having a fantastic day or night. Talk to you soon! x
