I feel like most of the time we don't realize what we're putting on our faces and I used to be one of them. I didn't do any research and sadly I didn't even want to understand the list at the very back of my skincare and makeup products that's usually major extensive and unpronounceable.

Long ass list of unpronounceable ingredients shouldn't be a problem because that's just show how lazy you are as a consumer. You should know what goes into the products you buy because that's going to be the 'food' for your skin.

Does it really matter?

Well yes. It does. At least for me. This is the time to take note whether your favorite lipstick or makeup remover contain any nasties or not, as well as understanding the ingredients because that's the key to know how effective it is or is it the other way around.

Does this mean I have to analyze every single ingredients on Google?

Yes, you have to analyze but fret not! I am going to show you how to analyze it in the most simplest and fun way. All you have to do is to be the opposite of lazy and of course, you have to have your phone or laptop, whichever you prefer.

SkinCarisma is my favorite! SkinCarisma is a website for beauty enthusiasts like us to easily discover the right products for our own preference. The website - easy to navigate, amazing interface and beginner-friendly. Normally if you are using a well known product, they usually already have the data of that particular product in their record so you don't have to copy and paste the ingredients yourself.

However, if there's zero data of the product you are using, just click the 'Cosmetic Analyzer' on the menu, copy and paste the ingredients list and start analyzing and take notes!

Here I will show you what SkinCarisma has to say about my favorite foundation :

Basically a really good foundation for oily skin. Duh?
So now you know what goes into my favorite foundation. It's pretty easy to understand, very straightforward. If you are having a hard time analyzing, I suggest you to read everything slowly. I, too, was pretty confused at first but once you get the hang of it, it will turn out to be a piece of cake.

However, if you are still having a hard time with SkinCarisma, you can opt for CosDNA. I used to be obsessed with CosDNA but I guess I found a better website so I rarely go to CosDNA now. Both websites are offering the same thing where you can analyze ingredients at ease but it's just the matter of preference, I guess?

Are you intrigued to know what goes into your skincare and cosmetics now?
Well, happy discovering!
