Five Things in January 2022

Five Things in January 2022

Hello, gorgeousness! Welcome to my first Five Things post for the year 2022! If you're new to this series, this is a monthly recap, basically. I always accumulate the things that make me happy and grateful in that particular month. It's pretty chill and laid back and I can be a sort of conversation machine in here.

If you're an avid reader of my blog, you're pretty familiar with how I roll in these posts. Also, I didn't get to say this a lot but thank you so much for being part of the usuals and reading every blog post of mine. I truly appreciate it.

Anyway, what a long intro! Let's just skip to the good part. Here are my five things in January.

Beach walks

Sometimes the simplest things can make someone's day. A walk on the beach, for instance. Some little details can easily make me happy and content. That's why in 2022, I make it a point to go for a walk along the beach at least once a week.

The beach I always go to seemed like a deserted place which I never really mind, honestly. I really enjoyed having the vast beaches to myself. It allowed me to declutter my brain, shift my focus and think clearly. The moment when I can hear the wind and the sea waves is when I feel more alive and content.

Exciting launches @ Sisters & Brushes

If you have noticed this blog (even my personal IG) has slowed down significantly lately. Two reasons:

  1. a huge amount of time and effort was spent on shooting shit loads of photos and finalising everything for a couple of our new launches at Sisters & Brushes.
  2. ...keep reading and only then you will know
All my weekdays and weekends have been occupied by these that I found completely no time for the blog even a me-time. But I honestly am grateful that people are pretty into these launches (hint hint: clay pins and clay rings) and some of them are even booked before they are released to the public. Mind = blown!

Follow us on Instagram if you haven't already and do not miss any new launches by turning the notifications on. I hang out a lot on there for obvious reasons, so see you there!

What would my Five Things posts be without my after-the-pen bullet journal flip-throughs? I have to have a dedicated section for my bullet journal because it keeps me sane 24/7 and I like to look at my beautiful bullet journal spreads. What's wrong with that?

Tealive mangold milkshake with jelly & sago

I think I have never shared this with anyone but I am a huge mango lover. So when Tealive introduced this menu, I was thrilled! I went and ordered in a heartbeat. I believe they came out with a few other beverages as well that incorporated mango in them but this one, in particular, spoke to me.

It's so rich and packed with toppings like jelly and sago. If I were to get it again, perhaps I would ask them to take the toppings down a notch. It's loaded in there. Anyway, I hope this menu will stay for a while because it's so refreshing and yummy and just the way I like it. Are you a fan of mangoes? Have you tried this new menu?

...I got a job.

In the past couple of days, life just got busier.

A huge chunk of my time has been dedicated to a new challenge at a new job. It's so strange having a job after a solid year just running my small business in the comfort of my own home as well as being a freelancer

I am so thankful for this opportunity but it happened in a blink of an eye and I am still not sure if this is where I should be. Am I ready to have another career? Am I going to be okay? Am I able to make new friends? I am not going to dump this blog, that's for sure. But please send in your thoughts and prayers for your homegirl because thanks a lot COVID for this unasked social anxiety.
What a rollercoaster month. Anyway, how's your January?
