My Makeup Story

Hi everyone! I have seen this tag circulating around plenty of beauty bloggers now and it's very interesting to read, I can relate to some of it too. So I thought I would do this. Let's begin!

How old were you when you started wearing makeup?

I think I started wearing makeup, like proper makeup at the age of 13. But during that time I was only allowed to wear powder foundation, eyeliner, blusher, and lipstick and that's it. When I was 17-18, then I started getting to explore more about BB creams, foundation, mascara and all that jazz. 

How did you get into makeup?

I don't know. I think it's my interest in makeup. I want to know every single bit of it and I always look up tutorials on Youtube. It's very satisfying to watch though I never try them lol. I just love to watch tutorials. It's therapeutic. Who's with me?

What are some of your favourite brands?

I don't have a specific brand that I love, like really love but to name a few, I like Maybelline, Colourpop, and IN2IT.

What does makeup mean to you?

Makeup is an enhancement. It's not only about covering up blemishes but creating looks that can boost your confidence level. How you doll up your face is very important. Use makeup to enhance your features and it's not for somebody else, but yourself.

If you could only wear 4 products on your face, what would they be?

Hmm... That would be concealer, mascara, eyebrow pencil, and lipstick or a lip tint.

What is your favourite thing about makeup?

My favourite thing about makeup is the fact that a little something has the power to transform so much. Especially the way makeup can boost confidence in somebody.

What do you think of drugstore vs. high-end makeup?

I feel like it doesn't really matter what the brand is, be it drugstore or high end as long as it works wonders for you. Makeup shouldn't be all about the brand, company or price tag. Choose a brand based on its ingredients and how well they work on your skin. I don't believe in paying ridiculously expensive for something when there's a perfect duplicate and just as good.

What is the makeup trend you've never understood?

Prolly contour. I'm a failure when it comes to contouring. Where can I order Angelina Jolie's cheekbone? A ready stock preferably.
