The Truths About Blogging

Like many of us, I wasn't initially fond of facing the nitty-gritty aspects of blogging, and that includes yours truly. Being a student and all, I was a total newbie, stumbling through the blogging world. But hey, here's what I've picked up along the way that's made me go, "Well, well, this is the real deal with blogging, isn't it?" Remember, these are just my two cents!

The Truths About Blogging

Blogging can be time-consuming

I'm just a regular student, you know? Most of my time is supposed to be all about hitting the books and acing those exams. But guess what? I stumbled into this whole blogging world, and man, did it grab my heart!

It's funny because I never thought I'd be this into it. Sometimes, I catch myself thinking I should tone it down a bit, but the truth is, I can't help but love it. It's crazy how much effort and hard work go into this blogging journey.

Snapping those blog pics, adding a touch of magic to make things around your blog look awesome, staying connected with fellow bloggers to keep the social media vibe going, and consistently creating great content—it's all part of the journey. And let's not forget the challenging task of brainstorming the next blog masterpiece.

It's a lovely journey, but oh boy, it does ask for a chunk of your time and a whole lot of effort. Still, I love blogging, even though there are times when it feels like a whirlwind of commitment, especially when it's just little old me steering the ship.

Being active is a must

Can you believe I actually said that? But I know you get it. Some days, blogging just doesn't feel right, you know? Sometimes, you just want to kick back and do absolutely nothing. It's like, "Hey, can I catch a break?" I totally get that feeling of needing to step back from the blog grind.

And, girl, who doesn't love a blog that's on point all the time? Consistency is key, and people eat that up. But honestly, I struggle with that. Like, big time.

Here's the real deal, guys. I noticed the views and traffic dropping like crazy, and it bummed me out. But, honestly, I don't see myself churning out content every 2-3 days. I just... don't.

Blogging can feel lonely at times

Blogging can get a bit lonely, no doubt. Especially at the start when you're still finding your way and haven't connected with many fellow bloggers. I bet many of us don't really have friends or family who are into blogging, so it feels like you're on your own island with this.

There will be things you can't control

Blogging can be a bit unpredictable, you know? Sometimes, Google might not be as nice to your blog, or Pinterest might switch up its game, causing your pins to miss out on some traffic. And don't get me started on social media algorithms, especially Instagram – they can be a real head-scratcher! But here's the deal: some stuff is just beyond our control. Instead of stressing about that, focus on what you can control!
