Five Things In December 2016

Wow, 2016, you're slipping away as fast as you came! You've really put me through the wringer, testing my patience and all. Ahh, the rollercoaster of it all! Did any of us even accomplish what we aimed for? Let's be honest, did we even set any goals? Well, here's hoping we've all got some sweet memories and wins to carry into the next year.

But first, let's check out what's happening in December.

five things in december

Rentals and bills

Living in the city is so expensive, it's like, seriously wild. And now, with two roomies moving out, it's hitting our wallets even harder. I'm just a student, and I don't even have a job right now, so this is really stressing me out.

So many semester projects, so little time

Man, I really need time to chill out, y'know? It's been crazy lately. Between all these semester projects, I barely have time to breathe, let alone blog. Feels like I just started this semester and I'm already drowning in presentations, projects, and deadlines. And this is just the start!

Taman Botani Negara

It's bonding time with my roomies! We've got a whole day to explore and chill together. This time, we decided on Taman Botani Negara. It's super chill and peaceful there.

We had a blast, even though we couldn't see everything. Walking around and waiting for the bus wore us out big time. They had bikes for rent, but we weren't up for it. Still, it was a fun experience, and I hit over 10,000 steps!

Christmas movie marathon

I think a week is just perfect for a movie marathon! I mean, it's Christmas break, so why not make the most of it, right? I just love the idea of cuddling up with my soft toy, wrapped in a cozy blanket, watching all those classic Christmas movies. And you know what adds to the vibe? The sound of rain outside! It's just so relaxing, isn't it? My absolute favorites are Home Alone, The Holiday, Love Actually, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. What about you? What's your go-to Christmas flick?

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions

I haven't really thought about making a New Year's resolution yet. Honestly, I wasn't really planning on it because I feel like it's kind of pointless. I've set so many goals in the past... I don't know, maybe in the last 3 years? And I hardly ever actually achieve any of them. It feels like it's almost impossible for me to accomplish them if I make one. I see a lot of people on blogs making resolutions, and that's cool and all. But for me, I don't feel like I need a New Year's resolution to motivate me this time. If I want something, I'll just go for it and make it happen. There's nothing I need to promise myself to do, nothing dramatic or needing some big resolution to get me going. That's just how I see it.

Anyway, hope your December was awesome and your 2016 was meaningful. Here's to a joyful and happy 2017!
