Five Things in November 2021

Five Things in November 2021
November was filled with small wins, surprises, working on more behind-the-scenes stuff for Sisters & Brushes, lots of success, and meeting my one and only bestie from high school. It was also full of anxiety and bliss.

I can't believe we're already in the last month of 2021! At times, I feel like I blinked and this year flew by and other times it feels it dragged on. All in all, it has been a rollercoaster ride for us all, right? I hope you guys are all doing well and here are five things that made me happy and grateful in November.

Five things that made me happy and grateful in November:

I turned 25!
Oh yes, I turned 25 on November 23rd, which is quite a milestone in life, right? I have definitely learned plenty of lessons while balancing my commitments as a young adult. I am just grateful that I get to live another meaningful year with my loved ones. I haven't had any quarter-life crisis yet but when I do, hopefully, I am ready for it.

Got my booster shot + COVID negative
I was super grateful to receive my booster shot on November 7th, 2021. I would say it was an entirely smooth process and I couldn't be more grateful! As far as the side effects go, it wasn't as intense as my first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. I didn't feel any fatigue or headaches but the muscle pain... I wouldn't say it was intense (because my second dose was the worst) but it's definitely somewhere around that neighbourhood. And that lasted for only a few days though, so.

On the flip side, I have developed a minor COVID-19 symptom not long after my booster shot. I had flu for a couple of days and I kept sneezing and my nose was runny and blocked at the same time. I also had a mild sore throat in between so I thought this was a great time to get panicked since that's all I am good at. After that, I went and bought myself a COVID-19 self-test kit for RM9 from my local pharmacy.

So, I took the test alone, in my room, without telling anyone in the house because I was scared to death and I didn't want them to join me panicking. But yeah, the test turned out negative. Thank goodness! And only then, I tell everyone I took a self COVID test and it was negative. Phew! Relieved, of course. I did isolate myself and I stayed home for several days until I felt fully okay and waited for all the symptoms to be gone.

I messed up the top part of the page so I cut a piece of another dotted paper to conceal the boo-boo.

New collection at Sisters & Brushes
We launched a new collection at Sisters & Brushes and it was such a big hit! Our latest clay creations are called Pretty Baked and it was inspired by the yummy baked goods from our favourite bakery.

It's hard for me to believe that this was a hobby that can make us money. It's like blogging to me, all over again. I started blogging because it magically turned into this exciting hobby but then I managed to make money out of it along the journey. It's like a walk down memory lane with Sisters & Brushes. I am so glad we did it. This is a call for celebration; to celebrate small wins and to celebrate us!

Red (Taylor's Version)
I didn't think Taylor just re-record her Red album and drop it a few days before my birthday without any apparent reason... I mean, this should be one of my birthday gifts, right?! Lol.

I know I am being full of myself right now. It's just a coincidence. Don't come at me. But can we talk about how I feel about THE album for a bit? As a fellow Swifties, my excitement for the Red album is on another level. Red has been one of my favourite records of Taylor. Many of the songs on the tracklist became the soundtrack to MANY important events of my life as I went through high school. Red has then remained close to my heart and has been played religiously.

There aren't enough words to describe how much I love this album. This is truly a masterpiece. It brings back so many bittersweet memories and yes you can safely say that I am so emotionally attached to the Red album. While Taylor is not everyone's cup of tea, it certainly is mine <3
How's your November? What made you happy and grateful in November?
