Before-Bed Beauty Routine

Getting a good night's sleep is what I'm all about. I'm a firm believer that a good night's sleep leads to an exquisite day. In order to get there, it's important to give it a little help before I hit the bed. My before-bed beauty routine needs to be on-point because turns out, our body can do serious work for us while we sleep. Never underestimate this. Even though you're extremely tired to get up to clean yourself and all that jazz, but the littlest thing can have a big impact on you, no?

Before-Bed Beauty Routine

Take off the makeup. All of it.

Take my advice; always, always, always cleanse. You know you should so don't pretend like you don't. I know it's so tempting to fall into bed with a full face of makeup, but you'll regret it. Trust me. I've been there and it's not really a "beauty sleep" for me.

Even if you don't wear makeup, you still need to remove that dirt that has been sitting on top of your skin all day long. Yikes! Just spend a few minutes making your way to the sink and I swear it'll be worth your time. If I were to add my favorite makeup remover, it has to be none other than the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It's my holy grail! It has been a staple in my skincare regimen. I then will continue with the rest of my skincare routine.

Tie the hair up in a bun

I really can't sleep if my hair gets on my face. I feel so uncomfortable. It's really important for me (and you) to tie it up into a bun especially if you have acne-prone skin. The act of this will keep the oil from the hair off your face so it doesn't break you out. I know some of you see this as a concern as you don't want to damage your hair but I'd say a loose and messy bun would do. It's a trick I always go for.

Massage the face

I always give my face a little massage, a little bit of slow and relaxing rub on the jawline and "dancing fingers" under the eyes before I go to bed. It doesn't take long, 2 or 3 minutes is all you need. Why massage? Because it helps me relax before I go to bed, to ensure I have a good night's sleep and look a little youthful. Yup, now you know what to do, right?

A cup of tea

Having a cuppa in my nightclothes before bed is extremely relaxing, at least for me. I find it really peaceful and helps me calm. It can do so much, actually. When I'm having a bad day, a cup of tea. When I'm happy, a cup of tea. Day or night, a cup of tea. It doesn't have to be a cup of tea, though. Each of us has a personal preference and I know someone who can't live without her coffee. As long as it is something warm, you're good to go.
What's your before-bed beauty routine like?

  2. My night routine before bed is brushing my teeth, do my skincare routine, listening to songs until I feel sleepy and then sleep.

I feel you. I don't like it when my hair is not tie everytime I go to sleep, or else my hair will go everywhere on my face. It hurts tho, sometimes. Hahaha 😊
